| 48 | Beatweek Magazine #62: Taylor Hicks and Macworld 2010 | Because we outgrew our name awhile ago, iProng is now Beatweek Magazine. Freshly home from Macworld 2010, here's our latest issue... Taylor Hicks won American Idol, starred in Grease, and started his own record label. He talks about all of it in our cover story interview. We also talk with up and coming band Rivers Monroe, and we’ve got a classic interview with Mr. Carlos Santana himself. And those who thought Macworld couldn’t prosper without Apple’s direct participation were in for a shock this past week, as Macworld 2010 was surprisingly successful. Scattered throughout this issue are the 12 best new products for iPhone+iPod that we saw, plus some other revelations from the event. | 2/15/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 49 | Beatweek Magazine #61: Tegan and Sara - and yes, we're Beatweek Magazine now. | Because we outgrew our name awhile ago, iProng is now beatweek magazine. Hope you like it. Tegan and Sara are the definition of cool. Say hello to Elsie, who did the cover story interview for us. V.V. Brown will blow your mind. If the story of Jack’s Mannequin doesn’t inspire you, nothing will. This issue has interviews with them all – plus Valentine’s and Toy Story apps and games. And if you like using your iProducts on the go, this issue is full of reviews of outdoor and travel products for use with iPhones and iPods and Macs and laptops. Thank you to those who’ve been with us going back to 2004. We’ll be at Macworld 2010 this week - keep an eye on beatweek.com for onsite reports from the six of us who will be in attendance. | 2/8/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 50 | iProng Magazine #60: Rosanne Cash, iPad, Fishbone and more | Can you believe we got to talk with Rosanne Cash? Neither can I. Her new album is based on a song list her dad once gave her (Johnny Cash, maybe you’ve heard of him too), and she’s an iPhone user. Fishbone is one of the coolest bands of the past three decades. So glad they’re interviewed in this issue. And we take an expanded look at Macworld 2010, which is just around the corner. More iPad commentary, new iPhone and iPod nano cases, and a few iPhone apps on parade: Super Monkey Ball 2, GrooveMaker and Magellan GPS. iProng Magazine: Music. Podcasting. iPhone. iPod. iPad. Social Media. All of the above, mixed into one magazine, along with anything else worth telling you about. Hope you enjoy this issue. Much thanks, Bill Palmer, Editor in Chief | 2/1/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 51 | iProng Magazine #59: David Gray interview, Apple iPad and more | As Steve Jobs pointed out this morning, we’re currently living at the intersection of art and technology – and this issue of iProng Magazine is a perfect example. One the one hand it’s got an interview with rock star David Gray, and on the other it’s got the lowdown on the newly unveiled Apple iPad, which among other things, is a groundbreaking new way to consume artistic content. Then again, as a counterpoint, David’s cautionary take on technology like Twitter in our cover story interview provides an interesting contrast to the notion that more communication equals better communication – well, you’ll have to read it for yourself. He also talks about his new single Fugitive, which is his biggest hit song in years, as well as how he creates his songs in general. In addition to the details and initial thoughts on the iPad, this issue also brings us reviews of four new apps that work with the iPhone, iPod touch, and ahem, the iPad – along with hands on reviews of several new iPod and iPhone accessories. And because one music interview is never enough, this issue includes conversations with indie artists Lucy Schwartz (whose songs you’ve probably heard on TV and in movies) and Joséphine Ancelle (whose songs you’ve likely heard on podcasts). We’ll be publishing more iPad-related coverage on our website all week, so keep your eyes glued to iProng.com for developing details. | 1/26/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 52 | iProng Magazine #58: The Flaming Lips, CES 2010 Best of Show and more | This one’s a little different, both in terms of our musical approach and our technology coverage. Having made music that sounds not quite like anything else you’ve ever heard for the past quarter century, The Flaming Lips have released not one but two new albums in the past few months. Lead singer Wayne Coyne gives us the scoop on both – and because the latter is a collaboration with fellow Oklahoma-based band Stardeath and White Dwarfs, we also talk with their lead singer, Dennis Coyne. The fact that Wayne and Dennis happen to be uncle and nephew only adds to the intrigue. And just home from CES 2010, we’ve got the hands-on scoop on the top new apps and accessories for iPhone and iPod that were introduced at the show. Our sixteen Best of Show winners, along with ten additional finalists, are chronicled throughout this issue. We’ve got a metric ton of musician interviews lined up for early 2010, and in the mean time we give you two of our favorite classic interviews from years past, with Keane and Anberlin. | 1/19/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 53 | iProng Magazine #57: Katharine McPhee, Qik for iPhone, Hockey, Noush Skaugen, and more | One decade gives way to another – and this one is starting off with a bang. Five days into 2010 and we’ve already got one of the more anticipated releases of the year in the form of Katharine McPhee’s new album Unbroken, her second since her American Idol run four years ago. In our cover story interview, Katharine shares everything from the inspiration behind her new album to why she’s gone blonde. - Live streaming video has officially come to the iPhone, and we take a hands on look at the Qik Live app – along with reviews of Outside, Coolibah, and Momento. And on the hardware front, we review three new iPhone and iPod batteries including a cradle and a pair of charging bricks that double as portable batteries. - And because one can never have enough good music on hand, we also talk with the lead singer of hot new band Hockey, indie sensation Noush Skaugen gives us a sneak peek at her upcoming album (you’ll hear much more from her later), M.J. Rhythm introduces himself, and we present a classic interview with Richard Patrick of Filter. - Keep an eye on iProng.com all this week, as we’ll be posting live from CES 2010 in Las Vegas, bringing you all the top new iPhone and iPod related products and more. And yes, the Flaming Lips will be in the house for our January 12th issue. | 1/4/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Customer Reviews
Wonderful!
I'm not sure how he does it, but he always seems to be interviewing some of the hottest acts in the biz. Great job Bill!
If you have an iPhone you have to subscribe
Amazing combination of interviews, reviews, features, and stories. The "App Reviews" are indept and very well written giving full descriptions. This makes it easier to decide on which ones I would like to try myself, with out spending $$ on several of the same type. Also gives reviews on gear of the "i"products, such as external batteries, docking stations, and bluetooth devices. If you enjoy your iPhone and socializing, you need this publication.
Most Pathetic
It's for iPhone apps but you can't open on iPhone. What a joke.
