CleanBTE radio welcomes Mack Maloney and UFO's In Wartime! What they didnt want you to know! | Live again this week at 8:00 PM Eastern. your favorite Alternative Talk show hosts Eric and Lon are back to welcome author and UFO investigator Mack Maloney to talk about UFO sightings and reports during times of war, and discuss Mack's brand new book UFO's during war time, what they didn't want you to know! Join us live as always Sunday nights at 8:00 pm right here on Beyond The Edge Radio! Mack Maloney grew up in the Dorchester section of Boston and was taught to read and write by the nuns at St. Ann's School. His father was a veteran of World War II and he used to read military books all the time. As a child, Mack started reading them too, along with a lot of science fiction. He received a BS in journalism and a graduate degree in filmmaking from Emerson College. He was a sports reporter for two years after college before joining corporate America as a publicist for General Electric Company. Mack started writing books in 1984, and has been doing it full time since 1987, penning over 30 books. Author Mack Maloney believes he has proof that UFOs exist, and he makes this controversial claim in his new book UFOs IN WARTIME: WHAT THEY DIDNT WANT YOU TO KNOW They are mentioned throughout the bible, found in Renaissance art, on ancient coins and on cave paintings. From Ancient to Modern times, UFOs have made their presence known during times of conflict especially throughout the 20th century. But the question remains, why? From accounts of UFOs being spotted by pilots in World War II, to strange episodes in the Korean War, and stories of UFOs aiding George Washington in the American Revolution, UFOs have always been a part of our lives. These thrilling, war encompassed true stories will leave readers questioning if someone or something is looking in on us. In the course of researching his novels, military fiction writer Mack Maloney discovered startling historical records of an increase of UFO sightings near pivotal military events. He discussed a variety of incidents from World Wars I& II, as well as Viet Nam and other battle zones. One of the earliest cases he found dated back to the time of Alexander the Great, when his army was planning a siege on the city of Tyre, and "flying shields" let out a lightning bolt that destroyed one of the city's walls, which allowed Alexander's army to get in. Proceeding WWI, "scareships" were reported by British newspapers in 1909. They were described as dirigible-like craft that emitted huge searchlights and could travel as fast 200 mph. In World War II, there were reports that crews of allied bombers would see fantastic aircraft flying just 100-200 ft. off their wing. These strange craft, which became known as "foo fighters," would not take action or interfere with the bombings. One of the foo fighters was described as an enormous cigar-shaped, brightly lit craft that flew in formation with the bombers. Incidents such as these led Maloney to theorize that rather than ETs, the UFO occupants were time travelers who came back to observe significant time periods, such as during wars-- to see history as it was being made. In the "ghost rocket" sightings of 1946, which took place in a remote area of Sweden, hundreds of long tubular objects flying in formation were seen. While they resembled cruise missiles, this was years before that technology was developed, he noted. Maloney also detailed bizarre incidents that took place in Viet Nam, such as when a bright object came down on top of an American base, illuminating the entire area, while all electricity was knocked out; and a UFO that hung over Hanoi for a period of two hours, while the North Vietnamese shot at it to no effect. UFO's IN WAR TIME; What the didn't want you to know. He has been invited to speak as a guest on numerous radio programs. Mr. Fusco will be discussing the theory of supergeometry presented in his book, Behind the Cosmic Veil: A New Vision of Reality that describes a new model of supernatural mechanics, which not only explains the behavior of strange phenomena like the paranormal and UFOs, but also provides compelling answers to some of the fundamental problems facing physics today. CleanInto Cryptozoology? Richard Freeman Cryptozoologist from the U.K. is this weeks guest 1/29/2012 | ric and Lon welcome Richard Freeman from the UK tonight to talk about his work with the Centre for Fortean Zoology in the UK and his travels around the world investigating some very interesting creatures. Are cryptids real? Tune in tonight to find out as we welcome Richard Freeman to the show. About Richard: Richard Freeman (born Nuneaton, England, in 1970) is a cryptozoologist, author, zoological journalist, and WebTV Presenter. He is also the zoological director of the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ),[1] and co-edits both the journal, Animals & Men and several editions of the annual CFZ Yearbook. Freeman has written, co-written, or edited a number of books, and has contributed widely to both Fortean and zoological magazines, as well as other newspapers and periodicals, including Fortean Times and Paranormal Magazine. He has also lectured across the UK at events such as the Fortean Times Unconvention, the Weird Weekend, Microcon[2] and at museums such as the Natural History Museum, the Grant Museum of Natural History and the Last Tuseday Society. When interviewed by author Nick Redfern in 2005,[3] Freeman claimed an early obsession with the classic science fiction series Dr Who (with Jon Pertwee) had sparked an interest in all things weird. After school he became a zookeeper at Twycross Zoo in the West Midlands and became head keeper of reptiles, working with more than 400 exotic species from ants to elephants (but with a special interest in crocodilians). After leaving the zoo, he worked in an exotic pet shop, a reptile rescue centre, and as a gravedigger. In 1995, Freeman began studying zoology at Leeds University. Whilst on holiday from the university, he learned of the CFZ and bought a copy of the Centre's journal, Animals & Men, which left him impressed enough to subscribe and begin contributing. He eventually became the CFZ's Yorkshire representative and, once the course had ended, moved to Devon to become a full-time member of the Centre. He is now the zoological director[4] and co-editor of Animals & Men. Cryptozoological expeditions Thailand in 2000 for a species of a giant crested snake known as the naga. CleanBlogger and Paranormal researcher Rick Philips joins us this week. | This week Eric and Lon welcome Prolific paranormal blogger Rick Philips to the show. The first 30 minutes of the interview are choppy due to Skype but the last hour of the interview was excellent with Rick and you don't want to miss it. We are going to get Rick back on the show in May, so a new date will be announced soon. Until then enjoy the podcast with Rick Philips and BTE Radio. Rick Phillips was born in 1952 in Shamokin PA but lived in Ohio within a year and grew up in Euclid Ohio. His first memory was on the day of his third birthday party while walking outside, and, he had his first `thought in his head', which was `I AM THREE'. His first startling I AM moment. Soon after, his family moved into `the projects' built for the returning GI's after World War 2 and Korea; his dad was a returning Navy man and destined to become a Fireman and eventual President of his firefighters union. His group organizational skills would have a strong influence on Rick - as did his fathers interest in gambling and a full understanding numbers and chance. Phillips's mother was a young beauty - under twenty when Rick was born and somewhat of a rebel shortly after. Certainly one who spoke her mind as upon seeing her son for the first time at birth, described him to her mother as `ugly, with red hair like you' (the one thing she didn't want was a red haired boy). Phillips never really had red hair - and the dark blond color he had started going gray at 25 and now is nearly fully white in appearance. But, the rebel spirit was certainly imbedded by early influences of his mother such as declaring that `Ricky will not go to Sunday School' - followed fairly quickly by his mother finding `Humanitarianism' as her new religion. She was one of the first to attend a Rock And Roll Show in Cleveland Ohio (another strong Rick Phillips Influence) and one of the first `working mothers' - which quickly lead to her divorce and she and Rick moving elsewhere (4 times in 6 years) all in Euclid. During one of these situations Rick lived with his mother and her parents - including a grandmother that often said about UFOs (in Rick's earliest memories) `Oh, I wish they would land and take me'. When Rick's mother eventually re-married - Rick's political positions would be influenced by his slightly older step-brother returning from Vietnam shot up with shrapnel and addicted to heroin. At about the same time - Rick's mother indicated she and her husband had gotten `high' on pot. Much to handle and think about while 15-17 years of age. So, perhaps as a result of the above - Phillips followed the path that ultimately would include the strongest of the aforementioned attributes. Indeed, even from the earliest of ages, and awareness, Phillips remembers many possible non-ordinary realities; such as: Time Distortion as a child when throwing a stone at someone and as the stone went towards the persons back - time slowed down significantly in his perception. A one time `we won't hurt you' bedroom visitor who instilled sleep movement immobilization and speech immobilization - under age six. Poltergeist phenomena in home - most likely of the grandfather he was living with at the time of his sudden death when 13 years old. Automatic writing/Thinking - From 1974-1976 would have to suddenly write concepts he knew nothing about - later to find he was writing Phenomenology ideas similar to Husserl and Sartre when he found those thinkers works. Phillips calls these ideas `The Phillips Phenomenology' and it forms one of his foundations of looking at the anomalous phenomena in the world. He has two blogs that deeply dig into his phenomenology - one called `What Is Not Able To Not Be Is' http://whatisnotabletonotbeis.blogspot.com/ and the other is Phillips's main esoteric blog and his first investigations into the worlds Fortean phenomena - it's called `The Heavy Stuff' - http://theheavystuff.com/ . CleanProlific Paranormal Blogger Courtney Mroch joins this week! 1-8-2012 | BTE Radio returns live this week and ready to kick off 2012. This year we plan on new and exciting things and continuing to bring you the best in Alternative talk radio with exciting subjects and new guests. We start the year off with our first new guest to the show blogger Courtney Mroch as we discuss her Haunt Jaunts paranormal travel blog and others she writes for. Courtney Mroch was born in Denver, Colorado, on September 14, 1970. In 1992, she graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Communications. However, she believes her life really began when her husband was offered a job in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1999. He, in turn, offered her a deal: agree to leave the home they'd created in her adopted hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, and he'd let her stay home and write. It was a deal she couldn't refuse. She quit her job as a Bankruptcy paralegal and never looked back. She had aspired to be a novelist, and while she still hopes to publish more books some day, she ended up becoming something she hadn't intended but absolutely adores being: a blogger. In 2006, she started blogging first in the Pets section, then in the Marriage section, of Families.com. Within two years she was averaging 50,000 hits per month. After racking up over a half million hits total, failing health prompted her to quit in 2008, shortly before she was diagnosed with Stage 2 B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Cancer was both the scariest and most amazing thing to ever happen to her. She realized what was most important to her. As soon as her health would allow, she set her sights on pursuing her passions with renewed focus and vigor. Among the things Courtney decided to keep pursuing was her writing. She had long had an idea for Haunt Jaunts, a travel guide for restless spirits, based on her travels with her husband to haunted places. She decided it would make a good basis for a blog, as well as a good "get off the couch" project to keep her motivated and life-goal oriented as she endured cancer treatments. That was the start of her blogging, but not the end. These days she maintains three blogs. She's: the Director of Paranormal Tourism for Haunt Jaunts, a travel blog for restless spirits. A Test Subject for the SAHW Experiment, where she shares lessons learned about love, friendship, faith and self during her life as a childfree stay-at-home wife. A Survivor Wannabe for Alien Invasion Zombie Apocalypse (AIZA) Fitness, which chronicles her adventures to get fit, keep healthy, and stay alive. She still writes fiction, and since 1999 has received 18 writing awards, including winning Jane's Stories Bite Size Review Contest and First Place in the 2010 Writers' Journal Fiction Contest. Her travel articles have appeared in TAPS Paramagazine and Duluth Superior magazine. In addition to writing and blogging, she's an avid tennis player, and loves travel, and photography and film making. Most of all she enjoys spending time with those who mean the most to her: her husband, Wayne Pryor, and their three fur kids, Murphy (a bluetick coonhound/Australian cattle dog mix), Mr. Meow (a Nebelung), and Tabby (a tabby cat). She currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. | 1/12/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThis week the wildlife gets riled up as we welcome Wildlife author, radio host and researcher Chester Moore 11/27/2011 | This week on the show we talk about wild life strange and mysterious creatures with our returning special guest, the Cryptokeeper Chester Moore. About Chester, Chester Moore Jr. is one of the most widely recognized and respected wildlife journalists, lecturers and field researchers in North America. A lifelong outdoorsman and naturalist, Moore has launched several zoological expeditions, ranging from the wilds of Canada to the Louisiana Bayou to jungles South America, in search of such elusive beasts as the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker and the Hairy-Hominid known colloquially as Bigfoot. Renowned for his journalistic, conservationist and photographic excellence, Moore has been the recipient of multiple awards, and has also lent his media expertise to numerous television and radio programs, including Two episodes of Ted Nugent's "Spirit of the Wild" PBS series and Six episodes of Fox Sports Outdoor Adventures". Most recently he has completed the "Southern Fried Bigfoot" documentary, which will be released sometime this year. Since 1992, Moore has written over 300 articles, which have appeared in such magazines as The Anomalist, Texas Parks & Wildlife, Adventure Outdoors, Animals & Men and Louisiana Sportsman, and has published nearly 1,000 newspaper stories, covering a variety of cryptozoological and non-cryptozoological subjects. His columns on hunting, angling, and wildlife appear weekly in the Port Arthur News and Orange Leader newspapers and monthly in Texas Fish & Game magazine. Moore has also taken the time from his hectic schedule to author no less than five books, on topics ranging from the Southern Bigfoot phenomenon to angling techniques for Texas Trout fishermen. His most recent publication: “Boogers, Bears, Birds and Beasts: Cryptozoology in the American South”, which he co-authored with acclaimed Professor Link Hullar, covers a multitude of topics including the Fouke Monster mystery, which has become popularized as “The Legend of Boggy Creek”, giant alligator garfish, mysterious cats, presumed to be extinct red wolves and many others! A dedicated cryptozoological investigator, Moore is the creator of the site and is the host and founder of the annual Southern Crypto Conference, which presents awards to other industrious investigators and brings together individuals from numerous scientific and cryptozoological disciplines for the purpose of disseminating information and informing the public regarding the latest Southern cryptozoological developments. The proceeds from this event, as well as all profits made from Moore’s books, are funneled back into field research and into the “Cryptokeeper Wildlife Habitat Education Fund”, which has created five new displays relating the importance of hardwood bottomlands conservation, and will be donated to schools throughout Texas. These displays will be accompanied with a curriculum created by Moore, which teaches children about conservation and endangered species. This is yet another reason why Moore’s work is held in such high esteem. In addition to his cryptozoological exploits, Moore is also an avid adventurer, musician, scuba diver and martial artist. He has caged dived with great white sharks of the coast of the Farallon Islands, and also serves as the host of "Chester Moore Outdoors" a weekly radio program on Newstalk AM 560 KLVI. CleanBTE Radio welcomes Billy Willard and Psychic Sonya Horstman as Shocktober continues 10/16/2011 | As we get closer to Halloween, we wanted to save the tricks and give you twice the treats! In hour one we welcome Bigfoot/Sasquatch researcher and Director of Sasquatch Watch of Virginia Billy Willard. In hour two, we welcome Psychic Sonya Horstman to the show. In hour one we will be talking with Billy about his research, findings and the upcoming 2011 PA UFO and Bigfoot Conference in which he will be speaking at. Billy Willard is president of an environmental consulting firm. He oversees various types of environmental assessment and cleanup projects (e.g., leaking underground petroleum tanks, environmental site assessments, and soil/groundwater remediation). Billy is an OSHA Hazwoper Supervisor and holds many other credentials. Billy became interested in the Bigfoot phenomena early in life as a kid after watching such movies as the Legend of Boggy Creek and the Creature From Black Lake. In 2005, Billy and his son Josh formed Sasquatch Watch of Virginia. Billy is currently vice president of the American Bigfoot Society (ABS), a director for The Alliance of Independent Bigfoot Researchers (AIBR), and a member of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society (PBS). In addition, Billy used to host an internet radio program every Monday night at 9pm Eastern on the Blogtalk Radio Network called Sasquatch Watch Radio. Each week he had guests from around the world that include Bigfoot researchers and eyewitnesses. The shows are archived and available. In hour two we welcome Psychic Medium Sonya Horstman from Ohio as we talk about her work, gifts, the Haunted Cleveland Ghost Tours, and her research into the Bigfoot/Sasquatch Phenomenon. Sonya Horstman is a well known Cleveland area ordained Spiritualist. A Spiritualist is one who can communicate with the dead and has vowed to practice a religiously enlightened way in their personal path of life. By being ordained, she has studied religion & is a practicing minister with the Church of Radiant Lights in Rittman, Ohio. As an ordained minister, Sonya also has the opportunity to perform marriages, funerals, and give counseling on spiritual matters. She is a natural born intuitive psychic, aware at a young age of her unique psychic abilities. One of her unique talents is clairvoyancy, which explains why she can see visions for the future. Sonya has also inherited a Native American medicine gift called hand-trembling. This explains her ability to read a person's body energy field, or Aura as it is also called, with her hands. She is Ohio's only known psychic to have this unique gift and shares it freely with others. Sonya also reads Tarot Cards and can be found throughout Ohio at various psychic fairs and events. She is also known as a Ghost Buster, (or in proper paranormal terms; a spirit banisher) and one of the few in Ohio that willingly rids homes and places of unwanted spirits and haunting energies. With her knowledge of Ghosts, she naturally went into the ghost tour business in hopes of educating the public on spirits. Her company, Haunted Cleveland, was the original ghost touring company in Cleveland, beginning in 2002. Her Haunted Cleveland Tours still offers tours year-round in Cleveland, along with cemetery tours in Medina, Cuyahoga Valley and Lorain County. Psychic Sonya considers herself a paranormal investigator. Sonya has worked with several Police Departments, assisting in cold cases. She offers psychic parties in private homes or for businesses and also offers herself for lectures. Sonya also hosts an internet radio show. The "One Step Beyond Reality and Psychic Sonya Show" is live on BlogTalkRadio.com, Mondays 10-11 PM.
