Amazing

How long have I wanted such a cast to be made. I think this will bring in many fish.
A faithful translation, good readers!
Among those few who have studied Greek and Hebrew (like yours truly), the New American Bible is a very highly regarded translation. As far as gender language goes, this translation is right on. The Greek language does not distinguish between all-male groups and mixed-gender groups, so in some cases it is appropriate for "men" to be translated as "men and women," or "brothers" as "brothers and sisters." It is done to accurately translate concepts from Greek to English. The readers are a diverse group of laity (I presume) who do a great job clearly reading the text. So, this is a great translation read by great readers. I highly recommend this podcast!
