What Would Coach Krueger Do? | A podcast for those involved in the current NBA dispute. Really? You've cancelled the first two weeks so you can argue over your millions of dollars? Do you even begin to understand how many people will be out of work and lose money because of you? People who can't afford to lose money. I had an opportunity to speak a while back with Texas and National High School Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Krueger, the "winningest basketball coach of all time." Maybe you should hire him to mediate and explain teamwork and passion. I think he could win this one too. WWCK | 10/11/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Van Halen Does the Right Thing | Sometimes in business we get so tied up in profits, success, etc that we forget to just stop and do the right thing... I often speak about the day Van Halen went to Texas Children's Hospital to see my friend Kevin Hendon. The biggest band in the world at the time took the time to make this young man's eyes sparkle. We lost Kevin to Cystic Fibrosis not long after this day but the impact it had on me and the lessons I learned have continued. At a recent lunch with his Dad, Jerry Hendon, I discovered there was actually video of that day. I can't thank Jerry and Kevin's Mom, Ann, enough for letting me post this. The video also includes Ed Leffler, the band's manager. Ed was my 'godfather' and I lost him as well several years later, this one to cancer. It took my breath away to see him smile in this video. This podcast is additional audio Van Halen fans have asked to hear. The play/listen button is below the video. Thanks. Dayna | 6/21/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
