Just like hanging out with your friends.

There are plenty of "Geek" themed podcasts out there to listen to, but Pixelated Geek gives you the podcast that you'd make with your friends, down to the hilarious ribbing. I enjoy on a weekly basis listening to the cast of alternating members swap opinions on a wide range of topics from the Green Lantern to the Green Ranger. These guys like to touch on a little bit of everything without sounding like a news reel. I highly recommend subscribing this podcast if you have ever enjoyed talking about geek stuff with your friends, and I highly suggest you go to the website and join their live chat so you can particiate with the scheduled podcast. It's hands down the best way to enjoy the show.

Irritating

Their website was alright so I thought I'd pick up their podcast. I listened to one episode and was horrified at the quality and the hosts. I decided that maybe I picked a bad episode so I gave it a chance and listened to another episode....same thing.

They start recording like 10 minutes before they actually start the show and it's just them bickering and setting up the show. Even once the show starts it is full of awkward silences and amateur moments. For example, one guy (the one that sounds like a woman at first) states his opinion and then when everyone disagrees with him or doesn't immdediately grasp his point he freezes and stutters.

They rarely talk about things "geek". Mostly they talk about kittens and flood the audio with random background noises. After 36 episodes this farce doesn't look like it's going to improve. Don't waste your time with this, trust me, it's an hour of your life you'll wish you had back.
