inspiring!
I love the idea of this project and so far the talks have been fascinating and engaging. It takes real talent to be able to create a consice and comprehensive presentation within five minutes. I look forward to future talks, and hope that different Ignite locations will be represented as well, especially those from outside the US. Well done!
Awesome community-generated event idea!
O'Reilly Media really hit this idea out of the park -- of the handful of Ignite events I have been able to witness, each one meets exactly what O'Reilly and the event's 2 founders from Seattle intended: to showcase each town's community and bring residents to the forefront with concise presentations (on virtually any topic). It's a simple yet powerful presentation format. The latest I soaked in via a live webcast of the Bend, Oregon IGNITE (their 2nd thus far, with another scheduled in October). And the event really lives up to its name, as several towns around the world have started at least one in their community. Get one started in your town -- see what being neighbors means again, and all the while feeding your brain, too.
