CleanPeer-Reviewed Scientific Literature Building a Compelling Case for ID | On this episode of ID The Future, Casey Luskin puts to rest once and for all the common assertion by opponents of intelligent design that there are no scientific papers supporting the claims of ID. This wasn't true in 2005 when Eugenie Scott of the NCSE stated it on MSNBC and it certainly isn't true six years later. Luskin discusses the most recent scientific paper, by Stephen Meyer and Paul Nelson, and talks about the importance of the peer-reviewed scientific literature: "These papers collectively make a case that intelligent causation is necessary to produce the sort of biological complexity that we are discovering in the cell today." | 2/6/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanConservatives as Heretics | On this episode of IDTF, host David Boze interviews CSC senior fellow David Klilnghoffer about his piece in the American Spectator looking at why many in the media and politics are abusing the word science by converting it into a verbal bullying tool to force opposition to conform to political agendas. Klinghoffer also examined the similarities in the kinds of ideas that evoke a skeptical response among conservatives and republicans and whether those similarities tell us something about the so-called war on science. | 2/3/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanArguing Analogies: Dr. Jay Richards on Paley's Natural Theology | In this edition of ID The Future, Logan Gage interviews CSC Senior Fellow Dr. Jay Richards about William Paley, David Hume, and the arguments for intelligent design. Dr. Richards begins with a description of William Paley's 1802 book Natural Theology, in which the author infers from the natural world that there must be some intelligent force (God) responsible for its design. Richards then addresses David Hume's critique of analogical arguments like those used by Paley. Dr. Richards closes by differentiating between analogical arguments and arguments for intelligent design. | 2/1/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanNew Film Says Darwinian Evolution Co-Founder Embraced Design | On this episode of ID The Future, Dr. John West, Associate Director of Discovery's Center for Science & Culture, discusses Alfred Russel Wallace, co-discoverer of Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection. Darwin's Heretic is a new documentary short film now available online that highlights Wallace's theory of "intelligent evolution" and reveals his contributions to biogeography. The film is based on a recent book by historian Michael Flannery called Alfred Russel Wallace: A Rediscovered Life. Says West: "The fact that the very co-founder of the theory [of evolution by natural selection] ended up embracing design is something many Darwinists don't know and those who do know really don't want to talk about because it doesn't fit with the script!" CleanThe Hypocritcal Bias Against Faith in Science Rhetoric | On this episode of ID The Future, Dr. John West, Associate Director for Discovery Institute's Center for Science & Culture, discusses the attempts by many Darwinists to relegate intelligent design to the humanities, equating it with creationism so as to avoid discussion of its scientific merits. West also talks about the mistaken notion that science and faith are incompatible: "Regardless of whether someone happens to be religious or not, they have the right to participate in the public life, and that includes in science and the arts." | 1/25/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanAre Pre-Cambrian Fossils the Solution to Darwin's Dilemma? | On this episode of , David Boze interviews Casey Luskin about a new study which determined that Precambrian microfossils could not have been evolutionary ancestors of the complex animals that appear in the Cambrian explosion. Previously, Darwinian paleontologists believed these fossils were multicellular animal embryos, but computer tomographic analysis has now shown they were single-celled algae-like organisms. As Boze and Luskin explain, they cannot be the solution to “Darwin’s Dilemma.” | 1/20/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanAre new state laws properly labeled "creationist"? | On this podcast, David Boze is joined by CSC program manager for public policy and legal affairs, Joshua Youngkin to discuss several recent science education bills filed in the legislatures of New Hampshire and Indiana. Although one of the bills is clearly creationist in form and aim, and would thus be unlawful if passed, as explained below, the language, purpose and likely effects of other two bills are sufficiently murky right now to resist the creationist label. | 1/18/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanIs Darwinian Evolution a Theory, Fact, or Hypothesis? New Paper Helps Clarify | On this episode of ID The Future, Casey Luskin discusses a paper by Northern Arizona University philosopher Peter Kosso that challenges the typical definition of theory used by the Darwin lobby. When attacking opponents, Darwin lobbyists, such as those in the National Academy of Sciences, have defined "theory" as necessarily requiring a vast body of evidence. But is that what "theory" really means? Some people even describe Darwinian evolution to be both theory and fact. Tune in as Luskin clarifies these terms and reveals methods we can use to challenge Darwinian evolution without getting caught up in an endless argument of semantics. FREE BOOK! Why Not Do a Show on the Wedge Document?
Interesting how the Discovery Institute hasn't yet done a show about its infamous 'wedge document'. I guess they want to deny their true fundamentalist creationsist motivations and internal dialouge while attempting to coopt the legitimacy of science. The wedge document was written by the Discovery Institute for internal purposes only and was latter leaked on the internet. It openly states the DI's agenda has as its ultimate goal is to "affirm the reality of God". The attack on biological evolution arises from the classic fundamentalist erroneous belief that evolution is itself a religious form of atheism, an equation that is false as many of evolution's greatest defenders are in fact practicing theists. I encourage everyone to google "wedge document" or "wedge strategy" and view the words that the DI's associates are so desperate to hide from the public. Finally, I find it ironic that a group of fundamentalist who view themselves as crusading for God are so two-faced and dishonest about their true motivations and intentions. Ah, another great idea of a DI podcast!
Where is the science?
interesting discussion but where is the real peer reviewed science applied? Evolution 101 is a much better podcast explaining research in term's us non-scientific minds can handle. This podcast is just discussion based on opinon and beliefs, not reality.
Heresy
Pay no attention to the negative reviews - most haven't listened to the podcasts. This is a great podcast by those committed to the scientific principles of observation and going where the evidence leads...Current, scientifically solid, and fascinating. Detractors would love to dismiss I.D. as "Creationism" because they have no credible replies to challenges of I.D. or its continued erosion of the church of Darwinian macro-evolution. Those who ignore the message of I.D. and choose instead to insult the messengers will have about the same success as those who initially labeled rock and roll nothing but a Negro fad.
