Life After Trek Podcast Episode 24 Featuring Dan Madsen

Life After Trek Podcast Episode 24 Featuring Dan Madsen

We’re pleased to announce episode 24 of our “Life After Trek” podcast featuring Dan Madsen. Dan is know for forming the first official Star Trek fan club, creating Star Trek Communicator Magazine, and running the official Lucasfilm Fan Club for nearly 20 years, just to name a few. Being a longtime fan of Star Trek, starting with TOS syndication in the 70s, Dan started his jaunt into the fan club scene with a small ad in Starlog Magazine in 1979. The fan club grew with leaps and bounds until 1982 when he was approached by Paramount to head the first officially licensed Star Trek fan club. Dan has been a major force in Trekdom for over 30 years and has continued his work today with the extremely popular Her Universe clothing and collectibles company

We had an amazing time talking to Dan and reliving his journey through both Star Trek and Star Wars fandom. To be honest, there's too much to fit in just one episode. Hopefully we can have him back in the very near future. This is a gem of an episode that you don't want to miss.

Life After Trek Podcast Episode 22 Featuring Robert O'Reilly & JG Hertzler

Life After Trek Podcast Episode 22 Featuring Robert O'Reilly & JG Hertzler

We’re pleased to announce episode 22 of our “Life After Trek” podcast, featuring Robert O'Reilly & J.G. Hertzler. Many of you know them as Chancellor Gowron and General / Chancellor Martok. We would like to give a special thanks to the fine folks at Starbase Indy for hooking us up with this fantastic interview. If you're in the Indianapolis are, be sure to stop by this coming weekend (November 23-25, 2012) and enjoy this fantastic fan run con. Both Bob & J.G. will be on hand in full klingon regalia for a special panel, plus other (non-forhead ridged) events for the full run of the convention.
Just to be a bit transparent, we had some technical difficulties in the recording of this episode. So, some of the interview will seem a bit disjointed and spliced together. Both J.G. & Bob were fantastic and gracious in re-recording a few parts that were lost.
During the interview, we talk about their respective times in Trek-dom as well as other projects that the duo have worked on. If you're fans of Klingons (like we are), be sure to download this episode.

Life After Trek Podcast Episode 21 Featuring Paul McGillion

We’re pleased to announce episode 21 of our “Life After Trek” podcast, featuring Paul McGillion. Many of you know Paul from his work on Stargate: Atlantis as character Carson Beckett, but did you know that he also had a cameo in J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek and was even considered for the character of Scotty?...but I’m getting ahead of the game here.  Being huge fans of Paul from his time on Atlantis and A Dog’s Breakfast (just to name a few), we were thrilled to chat with him to find out what he’s been up to lately.
It turns out you’ll be seeing a lot of him in the near future. Without giving the whole interview away, you can find him on an upcoming episode of Fringe currently scheduled to run on October 12th, and in person at Wizard World’s Austin Comic Con October 26, 27, & 28, 2012.
We cover a ton of topics in this, fast paced, 25 minute interview and we’re sure you’ll have a blast as you get to know Paul.

Life After Trek Podcast Episode 20 Featuring Michael DeMeritt

We’re pleased to announce episode 20 of our “Life After Trek” podcast, featuring Michael DeMeritt. Many of you know Michael from his time on the full run of both Star Trek: Voyager & Star Trek: Enterprise as First / Second Assistant Director. He also worked, most recently, on hit shows like ABC Family's Make It or Break It, Showtime's Californication, NBC's Las Vegas, and many others. We met him at BayouCon 2012 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and got the chance to experience his inside Star Trek panels featuring many never-before-seen photos & stories. We ran the full gamet of Mike's Trek experience, on this episode, but also got to talk about how he got his start in Hollywood and his early years as a DGA trainee. For those "Life After Trek"-ers out there, that love behind-the-scenes info, this is an episode you don't want to miss. If you would like to learn more about Michael and his work, you can check out his official website at MichaelDeMeritt.com and his full list of credits at IMDB.com.

Incredible series!

I only recently discovered this series, and gotta say it's incredible! I flew through all the episodes in about a week. All of the interviews provide amazing details and insights into Trek, but also hearing what other recent projects the actors are up to is awesome. Some of the best parts are actor's opinions and inside-information on how the industry has changed from way back when, all the way up through the streaming age (the Armin Shimmerman interview was HUGE on this!).

I only wish the first 4 episodes were available here, and that they had continued the show since it's last available episode!

Excellent!

Thanks for all your hard work. This is an excellent podcast with relevant and well thought out interview questions and excellent guests. I know it is not easy to do this especially when you are doing it for free. I look forward to the next interview!
