    Michael Barbour is currently an Assistant Professor at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the Department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology at the University of Georgia (Athens, Georgia), his Master of Education (Teaching and Learning), with concentrations in Literacy and Computers in Education, and his Bachelor of Education (Intermediate and Secondary) from from Memorial University of Newfoundland (St. John's, Newfoundland). Prior to his studies in education, Michael completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours), with a major in Political Science and a minor in History, from Carleton University (Ottawa, Ontario). Recently, he completed a Certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University (Antigonish, Nova Scotia).

    Exclusive interview with Dr. Leslie Conery, ISTE CEO at ECOO 2011

    Leslie S. Conery, CAE, PhD, Deputy CEO and ISTE Conference Chair, holds an MS degree in computer science and a PhD in curriculum and instruction with research emphases in the areas of educational technology and professional development. Dr. Conery brings a learner-centered perspective to her work on education transformation based on extensive classroom teaching and school administration experience. She serves on ISTE's leadership team for the NETS, the widely recognized and adopted educational technology standards. Conery has served on numerous boards and advisory groups supporting innovative educators on every continent and has collaborated with educators and policy-makers globally to bring about systemic change in education. Recent projects include increasing the representation of women in technology, developing assessments for digital age learning skills, and serving on the board of ICIE, ISTE’s affiliate in India. Conery serves as executive management responsible for ISTE’s membership, education leadership, conference, marketing and communications, and operations activities in the Eugene, Oregon offices.

    Podcast interview with Joe Jamieson, Deputy Registrar, Ontario College of Teachers

    Joe Jamieson was appointed Deputy Registrar at the Ontario College of Teachers in September 2009. While he was an intermediate teacher and curriculum consultant for the Halton Catholic DSB, he worked extensively with other educators writing and implementing new curriculum and policies. Shortly after joining the College in 2001, he was appointed to manage the College's complaints and hearings processes. He was subsequently appointed Director of the Standards of Practice and Accreditation Department and then Director, Investigations and Hearings. He holds a MEd from the University of Toronto, a BA from the University of Waterloo and a Diploma in Secondary Education from McGill University.
