Wonderful and Fascinating
I study Medieval History and this was wonderful. The professor giving the lectures on Old English actually reads snippets of the language and it's very enjoyable. He is also a very personable speaker, eliciting chuckles from the students, not just droning on in monotone like some professors I've endured. the only reason I give this four stars, is the recording is such, that you can't hear what the students are saying, only the professor. This podcast also is enhanced, including slides from the lecture. Very nice.

I was able to attend these lectures while studying abroad at Oxford and they were absolutely wonderful. The content is top notch. Dr. Lee was easily the most engaging lecturer I encountered and did not project the arrogant persona typical of many professional scholars. Thank you, Dr. Lee, for making your lectures freely accessible outside of the UK. Thank you for your diligent scholarship and commitment to the study of Old English.

Certes, this is an excellent podcast. It is always an honour to hear sound bites from Oxford, and this is literature at its finest hour. I am glad there are finally some Oxford lectures available via itunes.
