Interesting perspectives from an inspiring man
Podcast376 is quite possibly one of the most genuine and true podcasts I have ever listened to. The best thing about Myles is that he doesn't sugar coat himself to please others and I think that's what those who follow his podcast love most about him. The topics he chooses to discuss are always immensely fascinating and definitely get your gears churning. In addition, Myles doesn't try to force his opinions and thoughts down your throat. He says what he has to say but lets you form your own opinion on the topic instead of saying, "This is what I think. This is right. Think like me." Or at least that's what I get from it. His perspective on many aspects of life opens your eyes to various topics, issues, and discussions that you wouldn't likely think about otherwise, such as one of his latest podcasts on organ donation. I never had any hesitation or fear towards becoming an organ donor but his views made me think about why people would be and helped me understand their reasonings.
Listening to Podcast376 is something I do daily to break from the monotony of my life and get my mind active. It inspires me. I highly recommend listening to it as each new day is nothing like the last.
A Breath of Fresh Air
I like the fact that Myles talks about the topics given to him with a great deal of consideration in what he is going to say. He says what he thinks, and addresses all aspects of the topics in question. It is difficult to find such sincerity these days, especially when it comes to topics that can be controversial. Hearing these podcasts helps me look at myself deeper and reflect on how I feel on the different topics and then think about the different perspectives. The fact that they are relatively short makes it easy to listen and then allows you to contemplate your answer to the question posed. FInally, I love that they are interactive, and he encourages you to look at your views on the subject, allowing you to form your own opinion.
Always Enlightened
Myles' podcasts always make me stop what I'm doing and think about the question at hand, analyzing new perspectives as they follow his thought process. Podcast [034] especially made me think because I had just discussed the same topic in psychology class today, nature vs. nuture. There will always be the endless debate about the biologically inherited traits spoken of by Darwin vs. the aquired traits of personality through a person's environment, but what I found interesting was the statement I came across saying that "nurture works on what nature endows.", meaning that biologically we all have the ability to learn and adapt, and even every thought and emotion is a biological occurence, but the way that a person interprets everything is entirely unique, making the same process in one person cause an entirely different response in another.
As for the podcasts as a whole, they help give people insight that no one is perfect, and that we're all just trying to discover how the world works. He listens to his readers/listeners/subscribers and addresses people's questions, applying them to his thoughts for the day. Myles helps show people that it is not the amount of money you can give or popularity you have, but what how you present yourself: the message you are trying to get across and how you conduct yourself. In this aspect, Myles greatly succeeds because he provides both inspirational and opinionated viewpoints, but allows for other interpretations and feedback, all while maintaining a respectable representation and demeanor. By examining his own psyche and allowing others to see into this intimate process, he helps people connect on a more personal level and provides an outlet for listeners' personal struggles.
If you haven't listened to Myles' podcasts yet, then you're truly missing out!
