War of the Worlds - Original Radio Broadcast - Oct 31,2011 | War of the Worlds was originall performed on Halloween for October 30, 1938, and was directed and narrated by actor Orson Wells. The first 2/3 of the broadcast were presented as a series of simulated news bulletins which suggested that an actual Alien Invation was in progress. War of the worlds aired without commercial breaks, adding to the realism. Widespread panic ensued. In the days following the broadcast, the panic and outrage continued by listeners who believed the events in the broadcast were true. JP Richardson - The Big Bopper's Son - Jul 11,2011 | J.P. was born on April 28, 1959, three months after the fateful plane crash that took his fathers life. He was raised by his mother, Adrian Joy Richardson, in Beaumont, TX. J.P. played football at Beaumont High, just as his father did. He graduated from Beaumont High exactly 30 years after his father. J.P. knew little about his father when he was growing up. The memories of the Big Boppers death were too painful for his mother, and there were no pictures or records of his father in their home. During summers spent with his grandparents J.P. learned that his father had been an outgoing radio personality and musician who wrote several pop and country hits. It was here that J. P. first listened to his fathers music. In 1989, movie producers began inquiring about a possible "Big Bopper" movie. It was then that J.P. really learned about his father. For the first time J.P. and his mother discussed who his father had been and what it meant to be the Big Bopper. At this time J.P. also went through his fathers possessions that had sat in storage for years. In the early 90s J.P. owned a nightclub called The Little Bopper. Late one evening Frankie Ford (Sea Cruise), heard J.P. singing Chantilly Lace while playing billiards. Ford was so impressed by J.P.s similarity to the Bopper that he urged J.P. to take up a performing as a tribute to his father. When J.P. started performing, he was initially concerned about filling his fathers shoes. J.P. no longer worries about that: "My father was a one of a kind original. I am not trying to be him. Wayne began telling the tale of Aremis sometime in 1992 when he needed to create a believable vampire character for a business called Scream Works, a haunted house complete with grounds, for Halloween. Over the following ten years Wayne was able to polish this character into such a believable creation that he thought he would write a book based on his life and how he came into being. Wayne has been working on this project for the last 3+ years. He not only wrote the fiction that he had created, but he had also researched the murders committed by Jack the Ripper so that he would be able to effectively build the fiction around the facts. He have spent dozens of hours over several months going over police reports, autopsies, vintage maps, routes taken by the constables on duty those nights and read the over 200 letters alleged to have been written by the serial killer. There was, and still is, much controversy over the case and the handling of it, and Wayne found much of the evidence could easily point the finger of guilt towards a mentally unstable female and not that of a man. It wasn't a far stretch for him to then have that person be a vampire. Wayne has also been involved in special effects make-up both for theatre & film, his speciality being that of graphic looking wounds. He was also brought in to consult on a film, Blood Bank, a short film created for the California Film Festival in 2002. I worked with the writer and producer to create realistic vampire bites. Chris Dedman is a native of Lexington, Kentucky where he was an all-American kid who was involved in Sports and Boy Scouts. His first paranormal experience happened at the age of 14 when he had a bad experience with a firework known as a roman cannon. While lighting the firework, it tipped and shot Chris in the center of the forehead. On the way to the hospital, Chris had an out-of-body experience where he witnessed the paramedics working vigorously to keep him calm and alive. Many have stated that this experience opened a door—of sorts—causing him to be sensitive to the paranormal field. At the age of 15, while visiting Gettysburg Battlefield in Pennsylvania at dusk, Chris witnessed what appeared to be a unit of Confederate soldiers that was thought to have been re-enactors filming the movie “Gettysburg;” but, at closer look, it was a unit of actual ghosts that disappeared as fast as they had appeared. For years after this he found himself always sensing things and always looking over his shoulder. With nowhere to turn, he searched and studied all he could on his own. A little about CPR: Cooperative for Paranormal Research is a paranormal group from Central Indiana. We use a technique called Guerilla Ghost Hunting to capture evidence of ghosts and paranormal activity. While there are several protocols Guerilla Ghost Hunters follow, here are a couple that seperate us from other paranormal groups. First, we prefer to know as little as possibe about a haunted location, prior to or during our investigation. We collect our evidence, then compare it to others' experiences or events on the property. Secondly, instead of conducting one overnight investigation of a location, we will do several investigations of a location, usually lasting a couple of hours each. Finally, although we take our evidence very seriously, C.P.R. acknowledges that we are not scientists, and we do not claim to be. Love this podcast!
I've been listening to podcast's, primarily in the paranormal field for years, now that there's so many, you have to weed out the one's that's not so hot! Psi-Fi, however, let's any guest tell their story, opinions, etc, while they nor anyone else may not agree (or may), they get a chance to say their say!..Besides that tho, the guests are awesome, Donna Stewart is just a delight... Never too serious, or just too funny, but a wonderful combo of both, they're more like a family to me! Check em out!
Horrible!
Mumbling "Wow..." after every single thing your guest says does not make for an engaging podcast. You comes across as ill-prepared and amateurish. Please do your homework and have some of idea of what your guest is about.
