Great Stuff
Great Show. The podcast covers a wide spectrum of the sport. Some racing, some cruising, pretty much like the magazine. The host does a good job tying everything together. Sounds kind of like an NPR radio show dedicated to sailing. Very professional but I would like to hear more about learning to sail. The yacht design interviews are very interesting. Had no idea what went into designing sailboats. Highly recommend this podcast!
Let's go sailing!
I am new to sailing, so I am looking for anything and everything to familiarize myself with this wonderful sport. I have checked out other sailing podcast and this one is excellent. The more you listen, the more you learn. I have noticed that there is an incredible amount of enthusiasm among those of you who know and love this sport. I think that some of the reason for this is the inate longing to be near nature. Not just as a casual observer, like say, standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon or a walk down a beautiful wooded trail. These things are wonderful in themselves, but to actually harness a bit of nature so that it transports you from one place to another. Well, that certainly takes it to the next level. Yes sir, I have a lot to learn, and this podcast will help me to get there. Thanks to the folks at Sailing Magazine for making it available!
Homeopathic Medicine?
Episode 12b is the last sailing podcast I will listen to from these folks. If you can call it a sailing podcast. Homeopathic medicines for dogs? The last 10 minutes were just music filler. Why not just shorten the podcast? Very disappointing from a supposed professional magazine. The podcasts previous to this were not that great either.
