CleanEpisode 109 - Punched A Russian In The Face (The Dictator, The Raid, Piranha 3DD, How I Spent My Summer Vacation) | This week, we're talking about misbehaving film stars, does what an actor do off screen affect how much we enjoy them off screen? Speaking of which, Mel Gibson has a film out which we'll be reviewing. We're also talking about the return of Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator, a documentary about how many different ways you can kill a man with your bare hands called The Raid and trashy carniverous fish and boob-fest Piranha 3DD, which isn't as great as it sounds, trust us. | 5/23/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Publicity? Word of mouth? Director? Scarlett Johansson's outfit? All shall be discussed. We've also seen the film using new tech innovation/gimmic D-Box, which chucks you around on your seat like a ragdoll during the heavier action scenes. Any good? Well... In reviews we're looking at bonkers sci-fi actioner Lockout, American remake of South American chiller Sient House, Jason Statham face punching marathon Safe and (another) Tim Burton gothic horror comedy starring Johnny Depp, Dark Shadows. | 5/14/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 106 - Assemble! | Wow, its finally here. four years since Samuel L. Jackson appeared in the post-credit sequence of the first Iron Man film, The Avengers arrives on cinema screens across the country. Was it worth the wait, or do too many heroes spoil the broth? It's got Buffy/Serenity/Cabin In The Woods supremo Joss Whedon behind it, so things look positive, but you can get the first opinion right here. We'll also be reviewing board game cash-in/Rihanna debuting actioner Battleship. We'll be telling you whether that's as terrible an idea as it sounds and looking ahead to the Total Recall reboot. | 4/24/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 105 - Obviousl Points (Wrath of the Titans, Headhunters, The Cold Light of Day) | This week, in a fantastic demonstarion of how far Hollywood has come in 15 years, Titanic is number one in the UK Box Office. Here on Screen 3, we're trying to work out why Cameron's behemoth of a movie is so much more successful than all the other re-releases of recent times. We'll also be reviewing ill-advised special effects bonanza sequel Wrath of the Titans, Scandanavian thriller Headhunters and Henry Cavill's Superman warm up, The Cold Light Of Day. Enjoy! | 4/16/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 104 - Hungry? | This week, Screen 3 is reviewing The Hunger Games, which analysts predicted would do pretty well but has instead delivered the third biggest opening weekend in history, and biggest for a non-sequel. CleanEpisode 103 - Carter Noir (John Carter, 21 Jump Street, Contraband, The Raven) | We're back! Kev is now healthy enought to be reintroduced back into society, and we're back to reviewing the good the bad and the ugly of the current crop of releases across the UK. This week, we're dissecting exactly what the hell went wrong with John Carter, the sci-fi epic that looks like it might make a loss of for than $100m for Disney. We're also discussing cop comedy 21 Jump Street, heist thriler Contraband and gothic Edgar Allen Poe crime...thing, The Raven. | 3/26/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 102 - Kid's Today Eh? (Project X, This Means War, Safe House) | It's been a good long time since Alex & Kev had a really epic disagreement over a film, but here it is. Project X is an addition to the found footage genre that has split critics down the middle. Some say its a harmless evolution of truly anarchic film making, others believe it to be an abhorrent stain on the release calendar, barely worthy of even being called a film. Well we've got both sides of the argument here so have a listen and decide who you think is talking more sense. We'll also be dissecting the Oscars in some detail and having a look at other releases, including This Means War, Safe House, Martha Macy May Marlene and Rampart. | 3/10/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 81 - Captain America, The Tree of Life | Hello Screen 3ers, civilisation might be collapsing around our ears here in London but you can't stop the signal, and Screen 3 is back with another round of movie goodness. After the so-so Thor and the really quite bad Green Latern, the superhero genre has its last roll of the dice for 2011 with Captain America: The First Avenger. Can the man in blue turn the tide before Joss Whedon brings us the Avengers next summer. We'll tell you right here. Terrence Malick is a man who knows what he likes, and what he likes are mazey chracter driven explorations of life the universe and everything. Tree of Life is just that and was good enough to win the prestigious Palme D'or at this years Cannes Festival. Is it a mind blowing philosophical journey, or just Sean Penn looking more depressed than a man who's slept with Scarlett Johansen has any right to. CleanEpisode 80 - Harry Potter Pt 2, Horrible Bosses, Hobo With a Shotgun, Super, Beginners, Holy Rollers | The end of an era has arrived. Harry Potter is done. Over, finished, complete. Yes, the saga that has varied from average to pretty good finally reaches its conclusion and we're here to tell you if it goes out with a bang. Horrible Bosses is also out this week. It's a comedy with an all-star cast, Anniston, Spacey, Farrel. It has got Jason Bateman in it though, and despite generally being recognised as a great comedy actor, the guy has been, for the most part, a walking box-office disaster since Arrested Development finished what seems like an eternity ago. We've got two smaller releases with a definite vigilante falvour too. Super comes from director James Gunn, previously responsible for cult horror comedy Slither. It's Kick-Ass with mental problems, but does that mean it's any good? Something lighter in theme, but definitley not in content is Hobo With A Shotgun, a gruesome but fun Grindhouse-y affair starring veteran Rutger Hauer. All that plus reviews of Beginners starring Ewan MacGregor and Holy Rollers with Jesse Eisenberg. | 8/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

This week, with the abrubt abut quite enjoyable demise of the News of the World, we mourn the loss of Paul Ross' 'beer bottle' film rating system and discuss other great rating systems around the world, as well as our own. In reviews we'll be looking at Pixar's latest offering Cars 2, a film previously tipped by Kev as 'film of the year', and the Conspirator, a piece of American civil war era courtroom drama, starring James Macavoy and directed by Robert Redford. | 7/19/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 75 - Attack The Block, Hanna, Water For Elephants | Hello Internet! This week on Screen 3, we've got a whole host of movie reviews to tide you over until blockbuster seasonn really kicks off. Joe Cornish is the man that Alex and Kev aspire to emulate. The king of the comedy chat podcast, one half of Adam and Joe and as it turns out, a dab hand behind the camera. Attack the Block has been a long time coming, but its out this week and we'll be telling you what we think. We'll also be looking at sophisticated actioner Hanna, starring THE up-and-coming young star of Hollywood Saoirse Ronan. After success with Atonement and The Lovely Bones, the A-lister in training fronts this tale of twisted identities and tweeny neck-snappinng. Robert Pattinson is also lurking around in Water For Elephants. As he desperately tries to put as much distance between himself and the Twilight series as possible, we'll be observing and judging whether he's gotten far enough. | 5/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 74 - Insidious, Cedar Rapids | This week, we're wondering about the progression of technology. VHS, Laser Disc, DVD, Blu-Ray, where does it all lead? Are we really coming to the end of films being physically stored on discs and such? How fast are things actually moving and so forth? Alex is a tech head and Kev is more into his retro collection, so it'll be an interesting comparison. In reviews we've got semi-independent comedy Cedar Rapids, starring Ed "the other one from the Hangover" Helms as a socially dysfunctional insurance salesman. Too Officey perhaps? We shall find out. THe trailer for Insidious makes itr look like just another haunted house movie, but a strong release in the States combined with glowing reviews worldwide suggest otherwise. Can a crochety old formula still scare the pants off us? Find out here on Screen 3! | 5/14/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 73 - Fast Five, Arthur | This week, we're reviewing two movies that certain members of the Screen 3 team actively disliked even before release. Jamie returns to review Arthur a remake of the Dudley Moore classic of 30 years ago. Moore was a cheeky East London boy with a reputation for being a devil with the ladies, so its rather apt that Russel Brand, of similar background and reputation should take the lead for the update. Those with long memories however will remember that Jamie had the knives out for this from the get-go, so can it pleasantly suprise him? Speaking of having the knives out, Alex has never been shy of voicing his distaste for the Fast and the Furious saga, with its brainless boy-friendly explosion and attractive women combination (not that there's anything wrong with either in moderation). However, with good reviews from most quaters has the saga successfully rejuvenated itself to run on and on? Find out, right up in here. Ahem. | 5/3/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 72 - Thor, Scream 4, The Silent House, Your Highness | We know, we know, the hottest April since the dawn of time is not exactly a prime cinema going period, but for those of you who like sitting in a dark room whilst the sun blazes outside, we've got plenty of cinema chat to tide you over until the inevitable clouds gather once again. This week, we'll be reviewing Your Highness, a fantasy comedy from the people behind 2008 sleeper hit Pineapple Express. A stoner comedy might seem an odd place to find two of the stars of this years Accademy Awards, but winner Natalie Portman and nominee James Franco seem quite happy to cater to a slightly lower-brow market. It got a fairly risible reception in the States, but is it as bad as all that? Hmmm. We've got a horror double for you this week, albeit at two opposite ends of the spectrum. In the blue corner, out of Uraguay, South America we have The Silent House, a low budget horror with an impressive boast. It's 80 minutes long and - get this - filmed in one take. Does this make it thrilling or tedious. Alex will let you know. On the other end of the horror spectrum, we've got the ultimate stalwart of modern horror, Scream 4. Neve Campbell returns to her hometown (you'd have thought she'd know better by now), and funnily enough, the slaughter kicks off for a brand new generation. Can it ressurect that late 90s charm, or are we all a lot more cynical now? And finally, in the first REAL summer blockbuster, Marvel Comics unleashes yet another superhero onto our cinema screens with Thor. The god of thunder is very much a B-lister in the world of superheros, and with Captain America due out also this year, can the underdog come good? All this and more shall be discussed right here on Screen 3! | 4/26/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 71 - Rio, Source Code, Tomorrow When The War Began | It's already been a solid year in the land of CGI movies, with Tangled and Rango keeping the standard high. This week, the studio that gave us the Ice Age trilogy returns with Rio. Regular UK cinema goers willl already be sick to the teeth with Jesse Eisenberg and Anee Hathaway's talking parrots after nearly four months of those interminable Orange ads, but the movie cast them in a more endearing light? Also this week, Moon director Duncan Jones transitions to high-octane but thoughtful action with Source Code. Jake Gyllenhaal leads the way in a twisty-turny-explody thriller, but can it hold up under the pressure of its own cleverness? And what to we have here, two Australian films in as many months? Surely not. After the critical acclaim and decent performance of Animal Kingdom, our antipodean cousins bring us more from their burgeoning industry with the very Red Dawn-esque Tomorrow When The War Began. The pre-release prmotional material promised us a film filled with good ideas, but does it deliver? Download this weeks Screen 3 and find out! | 4/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 70 - Sucker Punch, Limitless | This week, Kev and Alex are out and about in Leicster Square, having literally just left the press preview of Sucker Punch, the brand new action-thriller from Zach Snyder, who's previous includes Watchmen, 300 and the accalaimed Dawn of the Dead remake. Snyder is known for his deliberately over-styalised filming technique, but with this huge mishmash of genres (the trailer includes samurais, dragons, robots, and WWI trench warfare), has he bitten off more than he can chew? We'll also be looking at Limitless, a leading man debut for Hangover/A-Team star Bradley Cooper. Cooper's certainley made his dues in Hollywood, with supporting roles in films such as Yes Man and The Wedding Crashers, but can he carry a movie on his lonesome? The US box office suggests emphatically yes, but they've backed losers before. | 3/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 69 - The Lincoln Lawyer, Rango, Hall Pass | This week on Men in Cupboard Talk Film Nonsense, we're talking about famous movies with alternative international titles. It's an odd phenomenon but we'll do our best to explain. In reviews, we have Hall Pass. The Farrely brothers are the godfathers of gross-out comedy, but can they score another hit with something a little more coming-of-agey? We've also seen Rango, slick CGI action for Pirates of the Carribean director Gore Verbinski and star of same, Johnny Depp. It's a little smarter than your average animation romp, but too clever for its own good perhaps? Finally, we'll be reviewing the Lincoln Lawyer. Now here at Screen 3, we've never been shy of taking a pop at Matthew McConaughey and his fluffy rom-com output, but this legal thriller looks like it might actually offer some substance. All this and the usual mucking around on Screen 3. | 3/25/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 68 - Battle Los Angeles, Of Gods And Men | This week, Curls is back in the studio for a chit-chat about all things movie related, especialy on the subject of "What the hell is up with trailers at the moment." In reviews, we'll be seeing if Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez can stop the alien invasion and save us all fromm a good probing in Battle Los Angeles, and checking out French terrorist drama Of Gods and Men. | 3/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 67 - Oscar Results, The Adjustment Bureau, Drive Angry, Animal Kingdom | So that was the Oscars then. Franco and Hathaway took to the stage and brought us a night of occasional suprises, some amusing moments but mainly a series of results that enforced the idea that when it comes to merit over traditonalism, the latter wins out every time. We'll be talking about everything that went down right here. In reviews this week "Bourne meets Inception" might be the laziest advertising hook in history, but is the Adjustment Bureau any good anyway. Matt Damno and Emily Blunt fall in love whilst attempting to stay one step ahead of some shady types who can control reality in this adaptation of Phillip K. Dick's short story. One film that is unlikely to scoop too many awards this time next year is Drive Angry, a supernatural road-action film starring Nic Cage. That's not to say it's bad, but it does seem tailored to appeal to the baser instinct of just about everyone in Western Society. We'll also be looking at Australian crime drama Animal Kingdom, which you may remember Alex raving about nearly a year ago. Well it's out now, but does it live up to the hype or is Alex going to have to tuck into yet another helping of humble pie? | 3/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 66 - Oscar Build-up | This week, since the biggest release is Big Momma's: Like Father Like Son, a film that seems to consist entirely of transfestites being hit in the balls, Kev and Alex are looking ahead to the weekend's Hollywood extravaganza that is The Accademy Awards. We're going through all the big and not-so-big films that could be walking off with one of those sought after statuettes. We'll also be hoping that our predictive powers have improved on last year when we confidently announced that Avatar would sweep the board. | 2/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 65 - BAFTA Results, True Grit, Paul, Just Go With It, Rabbit Hole | This week we welcome Phil back to the Screen 3 booth as we discuss the aftermath of the BAFTA awards, what they could mean for the Oscars and whether Rosamund Pike will ever be able to show her face again after this. Reviewed this week is True Grit, the Coen brothers take on the Western classic. Nominated for a sack load of Oscars and hosting exciting new talent in 14 year-old Hailee Steinfeld, this should be smashing. We've also got the return of Pegg and Frost in Paul. Can the stalwart comedy duo still do the business without director Edgar Wright at the helm? We'll find out. Adam Sandler's back! How you react to that sentence will probably determine how much you like his new comedy Just Go With It. It's had terrible write-ups, but is it really as bad as all that? Probably, but still we're giving it a chance. And at the far opposite end of the spectrum, we have Rabitt Hole. A drama about a couple trying to recover from the death of their child might not sound like a barrel of laughs, but there's some genuine sweetness and affirmation under the misery, and it's well worth a look. CleanEpisode 64 - The Fighter, Tangled, Hereafter, Biutiful | This week on Screen 3, the calm before the storm, the last of the awards fodder is strutting it's stuff in preparation for the next fornight's worth of gold-plated frenzy. We'll be casting our eye over The Fighter, Mark Whalberg's portrayal of boxer Mickey Ward's ascent to boxing greatness and Biutiful, a slow, thoughtful and serene slice of Euro-cinema starring Javier Bardem. Clint Eastwood releases his anual attempt to get into the Accademy's good books. Hereafter has been the victim of some terrible write-ups, but is it as bad as all that? On the lighter side, we'll be taking a look at Tangled, Disney's semi-satire of the Rapunzel story and discussing what really makes us angry at the cinema. | 2/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 63 - Oscar and BAFTA nominations, Henry's Crime, NEDS | Holy hell! This week is Jamie's last episode of Screen 3! Yes, one of our founder members is headed off to pastures new. He's working on his own movie, the mad fool and we wish him all the best. We're getting all sentimental over here but that's not going to stop us delivering A-Grade movie based podcasting right to your earholes. The nominations for the two biggest award ceremonies in Western cinema came out this week. We'll save the in depth analysis for our BAFTA and Oscars special, but we'll be giving you a rundown all the same. We've also got a couple of plucky little indie reviews for you this week in the form of abstract Keanu Reeves romance/heist flick Henry's Crime and NEDS, a gritty look at growing up in Scotland a directorial effort from veteran character actor Peter Mullan. | 1/31/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 62 - The Golden Globes, Black Swan, Morning Glory, The Dilemma | This week, Screen 3 is talking all about the Golden Globes. The Social Network raised a few eyebrows by strolling off with two major awards, but not as many as host Ricky Gervais raised with his close-to-the-bone humour. One winner from the evening was Natalie Portman, for her portrayal of ambitious but mental ballerina Nina Sayers in Darren Aaronofsky's Black Swan. Director of bleak but awe-inspiring hits such as The Wrestler and Requiem For A Dream, does this measure up to an impressive back catalogue. What with Black Swan's release and the continued success of The King's Speech, most distributors gave this week a wide berth, but there were two more light hearted releases for those in such a mood. Harrison Ford tries his hand at feel good rom-com fare alongside Rachel McAdams in Morning Glory and Vince Vaughn teams up with Kevin James for a moral quagmire in The Dilemma. | 1/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 61 - 2010 In Review, Season of the Witch, Gulliver's Travels | This week, we're heading in to the new year backwards, that is to say looking back at the year just gone. What was good (Inception, Toy Story 3), what was bad (Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Last Airbender), and everything in between will be discussed this week. We're also taking a look at the current stuff as well. Jack Black's over exposed Gullivers Travels and Nicholas Cage's oddly postponed Season of the Witch will be getting reviewed and there'll be a healthy slice of the ususal banter. | 1/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanScreen 3 In Focus #1 - Censorship | We've got something a little different for you on Screen 3 this week. Peter and Kev wil be having a chat about censorship in film. How do films get rated and why? What does a ratinng mean for a film? Is the current system in need of repair. All these questions and more will be answered, so tune in for an entertaining and educational experience, and let us know what you think. We'd like to do more of these if they're popular with our listeners. | 1/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

That's right , it's Christmas time and as per a tradition, as far as a two year activity can be called a tradition, we're pouring over the TV Guide and telling you what's on and if it's worth watching. CleanEpisode 59 - The Tourist, Monsters, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, | This week on Screen 3, we have a special guest as charity auction winer Natalie joins us in aid of Merlin's Magic Wand. Together, she and the boys will be taking a look at all the news and releases of this past week. We'll be looking at subterfuge based action comedy The Tourist. Quite a low key release for a movie starring AAA listers Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. Does this indicated a half hearted project? We'll let you know. Also this week, Monsters is about aliens, but also about humans, who can be just as monsterous. Confused? You wont be. This low budget story of humans and extra terrestrials thrown into the mix together has createed quite the buzz in certain quaters, and after last months dissapointing Skyline, perhaps this is a step in the right direction for the alien invasion genre. As well as all this we'll be going back to Narnia, in a third adventure that's hopefully not as mediocre as its predecessors and tackling two smaller releases on opposites sides of the spectacle scale, the madcap martial arts actioner The Warriors Way and Sophia Coppola's softly softly look at celebrity Somewhere. | 12/18/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 58 - Megamind, Unstoppable, Machete | In this weeks action-packed Screen 3, we'll be taking a look at Dreamwork's latest animated comedy, Megamind, starring Will Ferrel as a try-too-hard supervillain with a score to settle, action thrilller Unstoppable, Denzel Washington and Chris Pine attempting to reagain control of a runaway train and Machete, in which erstwhile angry Latino Danny Trejo murders hundreds of people in the name of freedom to immigrate. We'll also be casting our eye over The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest, We Are Who We Are and London Boulevard. | 12/10/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 57 - Harry Potter, Skyline, Due Date, Another Year | After a short break, we're back and conjuring up the best movie insight around! This week, we begin the end of Harry Potter. The unreasnoably successful frnachise begins its final bow with The Deathly Hallows Part I. Can this beloved series go out with a bang? We've also got reviews of bonkers low budget alien invasion thriller Skyline, comedy with Robert Downey Jnr in Due Date and Mike Leigh's festival hit Another Year, starring Jim Broadbent. | 12/3/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 56 - R.E.D., Burke and Hare, Easy A | This week Alex, Kev and Curls get back to basics with some good old fashioned action nonsense in R.E.D. It's a dream team of Willis, Malkovich and um...Helen Mirren. Also starring are some gunfights and plenty of explosions. On the comedy side of things, Ealing Studios are back again, this time teaming up with John Landis for Burke and Hare, the true(ish) story of the nefarious Edinburgh graverobbers. It stars Simon Pegg, Andy Sirkis and Isla Fisher, so it should be of decent comedy stock, shouldn't it? We'll also be taking a look at Easy A, a smarter than your averagee high-school comedy starring up-and-coming star Emma Stone. After SuperBad and Zombieland, Stone is definitley in the accent, but can this continue in more well trodden ground? | 11/11/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 55 - Wall Street, The Hobbit, A Town Called Panic | Because of our BFI special last week, we're a bit behind on our reviews at the moment, so this week, Curls joins Alex and Kev for a spot of casual chat and a couple of reviews. Michael Douglas returns in Oliver Stone's financial thriller sequel Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, alongside lovebirds Shia LeBeuf and Carrie Mulligan. Can they replicate the success of the originials scathing commentary on 80s excess or will Wall Street crash? (Honk!) We'll also be looking a absurd French animation A Town Called Panic. The minds behind this are most famous for their current run of Cravendale ads, but can the bizzare rambling humour stretch out to 90 minutes? We'l also be talking movie soundtracks and Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins. | 11/6/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 54 - London Film Festival Special | The last night saw the close of the 2010 London Film Festival, a two week period where Alex and Kev spend most of their savings seeing films some months before they come out (if indeed they ever make it to release). We weren't alone this year however as regular guest panellist Curls and new boy Peter Davis were also on hand to cast their expert eye over some of the proceedings. Between us, we've managed to see eight films before release, including vampire remake Let Me In, George Clooney espionage drama The American and the highly anticipated The King's Speech, starring Colin Firth, Geoffery Rush and Helena Bonham Carter. | 10/29/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 53 - The Social Network, Buried, Made In Dagenham | Bah! Facebook, eh? Who needs it? Well a large nummber of us as it goes, an astonishing one twelfth of the population of the world has a Facebook account and every life-blogging thing that goes with it. But how did it all begin? That's the question David Fincher wants to answer with the Social Network, a retelling of the genesis of the website that in less than ten years has re-defined how we comunicate with each other. We'll be casting our expert eye over the finished product and telling you whether its worth a look. Also in this week's podcast, Ryan Reynolds tries to shake the pretty-boy tag and get into some serious acting in claustrophobic thriller Buried and Sally Hawkins takes on the man, or indeed, the men in Made In Dagenham. | 10/24/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 52 - Back To The Future, The Town, The Hole 3D | 25 years eh? 25 years since the release of what some have argued is the most complete movie ever made. This week, we'll be casting our eye over the daddy of all 80s movies as Back To The Future gets a celebratory reissue. Also this week, from the acclaimed director of Gone Baby Gone and starring er...Ben Affleck, hard hitting Boston crime drama The Town gets its UK release. With an exceptionally strong cast and a promising premise, we'll be seeing if this tale of bank robberies and brotherhood makes a clean getaway. What's this you ask? A 3D live action kid's movie that doesn't suck? Yep, looks like. The Hole (In 3D) has been getting praise even from the more discerning quaters so we went into Joe Dante's spook-fest with high optimism? Is it a hole lot of fun, or just the pits? (I'm so sorry) Anyway, have a listen and find out. | 10/16/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 51 - The Other Guys, Tamara Drewe, Devil | This week we're back to three, but no less choca-bloc with the usual movie related nonsense. Will Ferrel's gone a bit off the boil recently. Last year's Land of the Lost was one of the biggest flops of Ferrel's, or indeed anyone's career. He's back this week though with The Other Guys, theoretically a safe bet with its buddy comedy format, but can the assistance of Mark Whalberg, Eva Mendes and Steve Coogan revive his fortunes? Speaking of people who regularly churn out underwhelming projects, stuck-in-a-lift horror Devil comes "from the mind of M.Night Shyalaman". Given this is the same mind that brought us The Happening and The Last Airbender, I wouldn't get your hopes up, but we checked it out anyway and the verdict is here. Our other review this week is Tamara Drewe, starring 2010's blockbuster queen, Britain's own Gemma Arteton. Back in the homeland and in much lower key fare than the risible Clash of the Titans and the fair-to-middling Prince of Persia, can our Gemma supply the winning charm needed to turn this into a suprise hit? All this and the usual mucking around on this week's Screen 3. | 10/11/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Clean50th Episode Increditacular! | It's finally here. We've had ups, we've had downs, we've had creamy middle's but we got there in the end. That's right, Screen 3 is 50 episodes old this week! We decided we'd celebrate by breaking from our usual format and expanding our retinue to 6 for this auspicious occasion, so for one week only, not only do you have the company of Alex, Kev and Jamie, but the familiar voice of Curls as well as two new experts, Peter and Phil to guide you through the wonderful world of movies. There'll be no reviews as such this week, rather a general discussion of movies in general. Great films, terrible films, guilty pleasures and all the rest will be thoroughly dissected. CleanEpisode 49 - Resident Evil:Afterlife, Cyrus, Dinner For Schmucks | This week, with the big summer releases all but over, we're pouring over what's coming up in the colder months of the year. We'll be looking forward to movies like Danny Boyle's 127 Hours, sci-fi epic Skyline and Clint Eastwood's latest opus, Hereafter. In reviews, we'll be taking a look a zombie action-fest Resident Evil: Afterlife. Thanks to the perpetual delaying of Tron Legacy, this will be the first film since Avatar to use Jame's Cameron's revolutionary 3D filming technology. Excited? Settle down. The Resident Evil franchise has veered from mediocre to utterly terrible since its inception nearly 10 years ago, and we'll be seeing if it does justice to our brave new cinematic world. We've also got a comedy or two for you. Cyrus has been sold as a John C. Reilly slapstick domestic comedy, but as we found out this week, its got a whole lot more to it than that. Dinner For Schmucks on the other hand is pure goofing around. Paul Rudd and Steve Carrel are back together for the first time since Anchorman, do they still have the magic touch? We'll let you know. | 9/19/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 48 - The Expendables, Scott Pilgrim, The Last Airbender | This week, we bid the summer blockbuster season a fond farewell with a lineup of big action spectaculars. After what seems like years of waiting, the 'action movie to end all action movies' is finally here. Will the Expendables live up to the very hefty sum of its parts? Good or bad, we'll let you know. Taking things down a more geeky path, Edgar Wright returns with his adaptation of the cult graphic novel saga Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Expectations are high on this one, and the Internet has been buzzing like a hive of kazoo playing bees about Cera and co's video game inspired epic, does it live up to the hype? We got quite a lot of access with this release, so keep an eye out this week for lots and lots of Scott Pilgrimy goodness, both here and on Movie Muser. You might remember M. Night Shyamalan as a former film-maker who now turns out auterish guff on a regular basis. After the disasterous Lady In The Water and The Happening, can he claw himself back from the brink with safe-bet kid's actioner The Last Airbender? If the American press is to be believed, no, but we'll be taking a look anyway. | 8/26/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 47 - The A-Team, Splice | Jamie's back after an extended absence this week, and to celebrate, we'll be looking at an almost as impressive line up when we review the A-Team. Eighties remakes are the vogue at the moment, and with Karate Kid and Predators already performing solidly, can this installment keep the nostalgia train on the rails. Learned listeners, -and lets face it, are there any other kind?- will know of director Vincenzo Natali's previous outing Cube, a fantastic sci-fi yarn that bombed out of sight when it was released way back in 1997. He hasn't had a major release in this country since, but he's back this week with the deeply strange creature-feature Splice, starring Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley. Is it any good? We'll let you know. | 8/12/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 46 - Inception, The Sorcerer's Aprentice | Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This week, its all in your head. Or is it? For us, the lines of reality and the dreamworld become blurred as we take a look at Christopher Nolan's latest opus, Inception. Nolan is the the on-form director of the moment, so, temporarily free from the Batman franchise, does his most ambitious offering yet pack the same punch as the astonishing Dark Knight? Also this week, Kev gets excited because Cage is back! Again! Yes, the fantastic/awful - we're still not sure which - Bad Lieutenant aside, we've been waiting a good long time for Nick Cage to rediscover the kind of blockbuster form he had such a firm grip on ten years ago. Will family action romp The Sorcerer's Aprentice be another step in the right direction or just another Ghost Rider/Wicker Man/almost any film Cage has made since 1999. We’ll also be discussing everything that went down at the geek Mecca that is Comic-con. | 8/2/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 45 - Toy Story 3, Shrek, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse | Pixar films make men cry. Fact. And this week, we'll be keeping a close eye on our quivering bottom lip as the world's most on-form animation studio takes another merciless shot at our heart strings with Toy Story 3. But what of the competition? Shrek had a two week head start on its rival, but did it need it? We'll be casting our eye over the green ogre's final adventure, Shrek Forever After as another beloved saga comes to an end. Speaking of saga's, Alex has to grit his teeth and force himself through yet another Twilight movie, but is it as all that, or have the vampires and werewolves finally come good? We'll be finding out whether Eclipse is packs a bite to match its bark. | 7/28/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 44 - The Karate Kid, Get Him To The Greek | Its an exciting week here at Screen 3 as we bring you a UK exclusive review. Jaden "Son of Will" Smith and Jackie "My Dad Isn't Famous" Chan star in a reimagining of 80s classic the Karate Kid. Its not out until the end of July, but we've got the verdict way ahead of time. As well as that, Russel Brand and Jonah Hill have a go at music industry satire and other hijinx in Get Him To The Greek, and we'll be taking a look at upcoming releases when we cast a keen eye over the trailers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Paranormal Activity 2 and Pirates of the Carribean director Gore Verbinski's first venture into CGI, Rango, featuring Johnny Depp. | 7/16/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 43 - Wild Target, Please Give | This week, despite England's disgraceful World Cup performance, the football continues to stifle the release schedule. We take a look at plucky little Brit comedy Wild Target. With a seemingly solid double act in Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy, does this home-grown slice of action/hilarity hit the mark? Also the American's get in on the act with Please Give, again with an seasoned cast including Catherine Keener and Rebecca Hall, we should be on to a winner, shouldn't we? | 7/15/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanEpisode 42 - Greenburg, Brooklyn's Finest | What with everyone being enamoured with the England team's hysterical fall from grace, this week's been predictably quiet in movieland. However, there has been some stuff going on, all of it quite interesting. Ben Stiller gets "all serious and that" in Greenburg. Its a bit of a mixed bag when funnymen go down this road, so can Stiller deliver the goods? Also this week, Antoine Fuqua and Ethan Hawke reunite for the first time since Training Day to bring you...well basically the same thing but on the opposite coast. We'll be giving you the low down on whether "Brooklyn's Finest" lives up to the name. | 7/1/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson shake off their glamourous side and bravely attempt to share screen time with the acting collosuss that is Casey Affleck in ultra-violent noir The Killer Inside Me. Is it possible to remake a moive less than ten years old? We'll find out when we take a look at Death At A Funeral, whilst over in the rom-com corner, Tropic Thunder and Knocked Up alumnus Jay Baruchel attempts to breath life in to a well trodden formula in She's Out of My League. We'll also be taking a look at Noel Clarke's latest opus 4.3.2.1. and The Brothers Bloom, a movie that's had to wait nearly two years to get its theatrical release. Is it that bad?
