ExplicitSFTS - Mixtape (vol. 3) | A mix of dubstep, drum 'n bass, complextro, and fidget, this mixtape is a compilation of some of my favorite songs in this genre. Some of these tracks you've heard before (if you listened to all my previous episodes), and some are new. If you don't like dubstep, you should just go ahead and skip this one though. Next episode will be a more diverse mix of music. | 10/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 26 | This may be the last episode I get to do over here. I've got one month left before I get to see grass and trees again, but I'll do my best to squeeze in one more show before them. | 9/16/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 25 | Hey look, it's my 25th episode! I'm not doing anything special or out of the ordinary to celbrate; maybe once I hit 50... I do, however, have new music from Komor Kommando, The Gothsicles, Bassnectar, and Dismantled. Plus, more newly discovered music that I've found or been recommended. I've been enjoying it, hopefully you have as well. Counting down the days until I go home - less than sixty. ExplicitSFTS - Episode 23 | Two things of interest that I want to point out in this episode. First, the Cellmod track (and entire EP, which is a free download from cellmod.net) was done entirely on Nanostudio, an app for the iPhone. I've played with it, and it's rather user friendly and worth checking out if you're into that sort of thing. Secondly, the Uberbyte track is from the newly released Justica Pro Bestia compilation from Crunch Pod, and proceeds go towards the Animal Legal Defense Fund. You can learn more about it by visiting the Crunch Pod website. | 8/6/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 22 | Music new and old. You get to hear my voice again, (not that you probably missed it), and I'll talk about what you didn't miss since the last time I talked. SPOILER ALERT: It's hot here. I'll also talk about a fundraiser compilation Polluted Axis is doing for Access 2. ExplicitSFTS - Episode 21 | I've been getting into some different types of electronica recently, and discovering new generes. And although this episode isn't full of the newest bands I've discovered, it certainly encompassed the downtempo sound I've been exploring. | 6/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 20 | Got a bunch of new music this month, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. It's becoming increasingly more difficult to find a quiet area to record, so forgive the lack of me talking. | 5/28/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 17 | As a nod to Valentine's Day, this episode is a countdown of my top 15 scrobbled artists on Last.FM. And although I didn't originally intend a theme, about halfway through picking these tracks I realized I had quite an anti-Valentine's Day theme going. | 2/3/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 16 | Pulling an all-nighter tonight and... well, I'll talk a little about it in between sets. In the meantime, let your ears feast on some of my favorite covers. Closing out the episode is a track that is special to me when it comes to pulling night duty on deployment. | 1/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 15 | As 2010 comes to a close, I wanted to take a look back at some of the many great releases of the year. My decision to call this episode a retrospective, rather than a "Best Of", for two reasons. The first is that I in no way bought probably even a quarter of the music that came out this year, and that's just the releases I was aware of, let alone the music I have yet to discover. The second, and most important reason (which loosly ties in with the first), is that "Best OF" implies that I have some kind of authority to say what was better than what. What I consider to be the best releases and what you consider to be the best will most assuredly differ. Closing the show is a special Christmas track from a compilation that was just released before the holidays (even though the music is years old). Happy Holidays, and I'll talk to you again next year. | 12/24/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 14 | Deep from the trenches of Kuwait, it's new episode and some new music! Well, not really in the trenches, but this is recording from the desert. This episode features new music from Captive Six, Distaudio, iVardensphere, and Polluted Axis. Apologies for the background noises during the voiceprints, and the less than stellar mircophone. I hope to resolve those issues at some point. Hopefully you listen for the music anyway. | 12/23/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 13 | I finally got some downtime during my training and had time to put a show together. Recently I've been listening to a lot of power noise, dubstep, grimecore, and generally heavy distorted stuff (along with the usual albums that get repeat plays). Haven't quite made it overseas yet - I'm in CT picking up "necessary" training for once we hit ground overseas. Terribly sorry about the vocals in this episode - I was recording this outside and using a different (worse than usual) microphone. | 11/12/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Mixtape (Vol. 2) | As the last show I did before my deployment, I planned on releasing a mixtape of music that I listened to during my last deployment, music that I have associated with traveling during various military maneuvers, or anything else that I would associate with me leaving my family behind. The reality is that I was confronted with my own sadness and fears, and as such, retooled the mix into what you have before you. The mix opens with a track by Dragonfly Lingo, and in my mind, sets the stage for the overall theme. The next three tracks retain my original theme and represent traveling overseas to my duty location. Nine Inch Nails opens Part 2 of the mix, exploring the initial loss and numbness I expect to feel. Part 3 deals with the fact that I am, in fact, only human, and my reflection on what I've left behind. Although initially difficult to make this mix, it was very therapeutic for me. So now that you know this, I ask that you not get too disappointed about the overwhelming lack of "industrial" music. Once I am settled in overseas, I have every intention of returning on as regular a schedule I can, unless internet uploading capabilities prevent it. Thank you all for your support and interest you've show me. | 10/16/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitSFTS - Episode 9 | This episode's mix features Metropolis Records artists (http://www.metropolis-records.com). I'm very pleased with the way it turned out, most likely due to the fact that Metropolis Records is home to some of my favorite bands and artists. That isn't to say that the other labels I've been playing or will play don't put out excellent releases or have talented artists signed to them, because they do, and you should explore as many different labels as possible. -C EPISODE 9 TRACK LISTING 1. ExplicitSFTS - Episode 5 | You still there? Yeah, it's been a little longer than I had anticipated. It all came down to this: when I got overzealous and deleted and subsequently reuploaded my previous podcasts in order to fix a bug which was preventing the show notes from showing on iTunes, it maxed out my storage space. So I've been waiting for my old episodes to archive and free up space. Sucks, I know, and I felt bad about it. But on the plus side, I've had lots of time to listen to mucic, both new, new to me, and older stuff. Since it's been a while, I made this episode a little longer.Special thanks go out to Twitch The Ripper and You Shriek for sending me tracks from their upcoming album. ExplicitSFTS - Episode 1 | So here it it, my pilot episode. It took me about four takes to get this thing done. And I don't mean four tries, I mean I recorded the entire thing, decided I didn't like something about it, deleted it, and recorded it again. And yes, I'm still not entirely happy with my final product that you're listening to, but I need to let go of my perfectionist attitude (a little). Besides, there will be future episodes where I can try new things. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.-CEPISODE 1 TRACK LISTING1. Fear Factory - Edgecrusher - Obsolete2. KMFDM - Dogma - XTORT3. Sounds from the Sandbox is one of my new favorite podcasts. CRY0G3N plays music from a nice variety of genres and you can tell he puts a lot of love into each episode - not just the track lists but the commentary, as well. I've thoroughly enjoyed each episode thus far and look forward to hearing more.
Make room for the new kid on the block!
Definitely one of my favorite podcasts, and there is only 5 in the bag as I write this! I listen to a lot of podcasts (over 20) and this one has leapt to the top of the heap with it's choice selection of music and honest, friendly and calm vocal commentary. Industrial, goth, alternative, rock, metal, EBM, powernoise, experimental. this podcast has it all. Take it from me (a podcaster myself with over 4 years of experience producing my own shows), this show is off to a very good start. Subscribe to it. You know you want to!
