The Value of Feedback For Consultants & Clients | This podcast is about the value of getting - and using - feedback for your SAP HCM projects. For consultants - feedback is critical to your learning process, and while there is feedback during the project it is only after cutover that you can get the really valuable feedback on how your work actually performed in a real environment. For SAP HCM clients - make sure you have a part in the client selection process and look for consultants who have some production SAP HCM experience. And get a few independent Quality Assurance (QA) reviews during your project. | 2/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Value of an HR Software Architect | Today, more than ever before, companies depend on software - particularly software developed and sold to them by vendors. Competition among the vendors drives changes and improvements in the software. But as the software changes, clients are not always aware of what those changes are and how they can benefit from them. The HR Software Architect role fills that gap. It's a role that bridges HR and IT and the software vendor, bringing clarity and value to the client. Tweet | 12/27/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Value of Hybrid Approaches to SAP HR Implementations | In this podcast I'm talking about the pros and cons - and resulting value - of hybrid HRIS landscapes. 3 tips to achieve process simplicity and value - Podcast #2 | Today I'm talking about the benefits of focusing on process simplicity and value. There's a widespread lack of focus on the value of a process when we implement, change and manage SAP HR systems and the business processes around them. It's common, unfortunately, that companies don't think about the value of an HR process or the value of a change to it. And when there isn't a focus on process value, they get messy and costly - and you end up with an expensive, inflexible HR system. There are three points I want to mention on this: First - It's most often better to change the business process to match the system, than to change the system to match the business process. This will lead to a more flexible, dynamic SAP HR system. Second - Establish criteria for evaluating changes to business and system processes, focused on the added value brought to the process, and gains in process simplicity. Third - What you choose not to do is often just as important as what you choose to do. Let process need drive the work instead of finding work for available resources to do. | 10/22/10 | Free | View In iTunes |
