311 - 10/16/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Interview with voice actors John Patrick Lowrie and Ellen McLain | Tonight's featured interview is with voice actors John Patrick Lowrie and Ellen McLain. John is most well known as The Sniper from Team Fortress 2, and Ellen is most well known as GLaDOS from the Portal series. We ask them how they got into the business, what the fan reaction has been like, and we get THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER as to why Valve has such an aversion to releasing a game with the number three in it. But first, we mourn the loss of two giants in the tech industry. One you've heard of - Steve Jobs. The other, probably not - Dennis Ritchie, inventor of the C programming language and co-founder of the Unix operating system. We give our early impressions of Forza Motorsport 4. If you want to be in the All Games Network car club, just search out the initials "AGN" in the game! Then we take calls and emails about PlayStation Home and the Halo Warthog in Forza 4. Orange Lounge Radio is nominated for Best Gaming Podcast in the Podcast Awards...Vote for them! | 10/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

310 - 10/02/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Battlefield 3 Beta Bans, iOS Not The Promised Land? | We give our early impressions of the LittleBigPlanet 2 Move DLC - which is NOT required to use the Move controller with LBP2. We tell you what DOES require the DLC. If you play on modded servers in the Battlefield 3 Beta on PC, you might find all of your purchased games unplayable. An indie developer calls the PlayStation Network a failure due to its low sales and low standards. A recent survey shows that the majority of revenue of iOS titles are made by the upper minority of app developers. Then we take calls about switching disks and beta testing. | 10/3/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

309 - 09/25/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Class Action Lawsuits Banned, Perception of 3D Gaming | Sony has placed a clause in the new EULA that prohibits people from entering into class action lawsuits against them unless they opt-out via snail mail. EA has done the same thing, but they also prohibit individual lawsuits as well. So the question throughout the episode is...do class actions really work? Bobby says no, some chatters say yes. An independent study has some interesting figures about the public perception of the 3DS and 3D technology in general. Then we take calls about 3D, League of Legends, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. This podcast is up late due to some technical difficulties that have since been resolved. Episode #310 will be put on the feed over the weekend. There is no live show on October 9th due to Bobby's commitment with the Atlanta Falcons Drumline. | 9/26/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

308 - 09/11/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Richard Garriott and Gears of War 3 at Dragon*con, Madden Impressions | Back from Dragon*con, we talk about Richard Garriott's talk about the future of games and his life as one of the first private citizens to go into outer space. We also give impressions of Gears of War 3 Beast Mode, playable to all Dragon*con attendees. We pay our respects to the man that made what I do possible - Bill "The Game Doctor" Kunkel, who recently passed away. Sony has hired a former Homeland Security chief to make sure that another crippling hack does not happen again. Atari is suing a website that has Atari in the name...Why do they hate their fans? Then we take calls about Richard Garriott's comments, Bill Kunkel, and lines at gaming conventions. This podcast is up late due to some technical difficulties that have since been resolved. Episode #309 will be put on the feed Thursday, and Episode #310 will be put on the feed over the weekend. There is no live show on October 9th due to Bobby's commitment with the Atlanta Falcons Drumline. | 9/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

307 - 08/28/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Retailers vs. Publishers with Deus Ex and From Dust | The theme for this show is "Retailers vs. Publishers" - as it seems that there are many stories of them being at odds with each other. The first story deals with Gamestop removing coupons to redeem a free version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution playable on the OnLive cloud gaming service. They then just removed the product entirely and are issuing coupons of their own to dissatisfied customers. Ubisoft is no stranger to overbearing DRM, and From Dust is no exception. Steam is actually offering refunds of the title due to the DRM. If you're waiting for your favorite PSN title to come to Xbox Live Arcade, go ahead and stop holding your breath. Then we take calls about Gamestop, Wing Commander, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. | 8/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

306 - 08/21/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Gamescom, PC Devs Listening To Gamers? | Gamescom occurred in Europe this week, and the first thing we notice is that it proves why E3 should not be open to the public, since they had to close it down temporarily due to overcrowding. The PS3 gets a price cut to $250, and sales go up. Sony also added NFL Sunday Ticket to the PS3, but some people think it is overpriced. Nintendo announced that they are releasing a new Wii that removes Gamecube backwards compatibility. Ubisoft has scaled back the PC DRM for Driver: San Francisco somewhat. Activision will allow Modern Warfare 3 PC gamers to have dedicated servers. EA has taken shots at Activision over Battlefield 3, and are very unapologetic about it. Then we take calls about Gamescom, piracy, and Tiny Tower. | 8/22/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

305 - 08/14/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Nintendo Investors and Patents, Rage over sewers | Nintendo's investors have spoken up and has stated that the company needs to rethink it's strategy of not developing for the iPhone, and financial analysts agree. The 3DS Ambassador program will release gimped versions of Virtual Console games at start, to patch them with full functionality later. Nintendo filed a software patent last year that patents the idea of a "Massively Single-Player Online Game", something at least two games that came out before last year already did. And in non-Nintendo news, iD Software has discussed how people who don't purchase Rage new will not have access to extra, optional sewer side-missions. Will we really miss sewer levels? Then we take calls about Rage, Skyrim, Nintendo investors, and playing Batman: Arkham Asylum with red/green 3D glasses. | 8/17/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

304 - 08/07/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Xbox Live Arcade Prices Going Up, Diablo 3 DRM | Xbox Live Arcade game prices have gone up...Have you noticed? Who is to blame? EA Sports has announced their "Season Ticket" where you can pay an annual fee to play a game three days before street date. Blizzard has jumped into the always-on DRM fray with Diablo 3 forcing an internet connection for singpleplayer games. Then we take calls about Diablo 3, who owns digitial distribution content, and the Humble Indie Bundle 3. | 8/8/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

303 - 07/31/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Catherine Impressions, Nintendo 3DS Price Drop | We have a completely conflicted review of the Atlus-released puzzle/horror game Catherine...There are a few caveats to the review that you'll want to hear when making your own decision. Nintendo dropped the price of the 3DS, but are not trying to screw over early adopters. Ubisoft has confirmed that Driver: San Francisco will have always-on DRM on the PC, but we spend more time telling you why it's okay that the game doesn't support steering wheels. The second half of the show had many technical difficulties live (which is why this podcast took a while to put up) - but we talk about apps for a new iPad owner and have a call about the 3DS price drop. | 8/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

302 - 07/24/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Sixth Year Anniversary Special | Six years ago tonight, the first episode of The Bobby Blackwolf Show was broadcast live on All Games Radio to a small audience. We've grown and matured since then, and this is a look back at the show and the community that has formed around it. My attempts at humility have finally failed in this one, as it's really just a long ego trip about the show. We'll be back to normal next week. There is a little bit of gaming talk - mainly about the announcement of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. But it's buried in the middle. The final segment is from Digital Cowboy's "Independence" podcast, used with permission. | 7/24/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

301 - 07/17/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Real Reason Netflix Raised Prices, New PS3 HD Output Confusion | We step outside of gaming for a little bit to discuss the Netflix price hike. Specifically, who you should be mad at. We read for you comments from executives at Universal and HBO from last year about how they will be treating Netflix in the future. New versions of the PS3 will not allow HD output over Component cables while watching Blu-Ray movies, but some people believe this also affects games. We answer this five times. Then we take calls about using the Sharpshooter attachment with Killzone 3, and NCAA Football 12. July 24th is our Sixth Anniversary Special! 300 - 07/10/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Steam and EVE Updates, Amazon Appstore Claims First Victim | It's the 300th episode, but no time to celebrate...There are angry gamers out there! We first talk about some price shenanigans on Steam with regard to independent game Terraria, which some call a 2D version of Minecraft. Then we follow up on exactly why Steam pulled several EA games off of their service. We follow up with what happened in Iceland when CCP Games invited players of EVE Online to their offices to alleviate their fears over leaked internal memos. Operation Rainfall claims that Nintendo of America has already localized one of the three games that many gamers are petitioning for a stateside release. The Amazon Appstore has claimed its first independent game developer as a victim, with a Swedish developer pulling Apparatus off of the Amazon Appstore and explaining exactly why. Then we take calls about Terraria, Gamers hating everything, and NCAA Football 12. You can leave bumpers for our six year anniversary on July 24th either on Skype, our toll free number, or by sending MP3's to the email address provided on the show! | 7/11/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

299 - 07/03/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Supreme Court Decision, Anti-Streaming Legislation | The Supreme Court finally ruled on Brown v. EMA - we won the battle, but the fight is not over yet. A bill introduced into the US Senate will make it a felony to stream gameplay on YouTube or Justin/Ustream...Fight back! We talk a little about the upcoming Atlus horror-puzzler Catherine while taking calls about the legislation part of video games. During the chat with OLR, we bring up the save file issue in Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D and Nintendo not localizing several JRPG's for the North American market. | 7/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

298 - 06/26/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Interview with Bernard Hoang about Nyko Zoom, Gamer Rage over hats and monocles | While we're celebrating Orange Lounge Radio's NINTH birthday, gamers are raging about things that are most likely unrelated. A new lawsuit alleges that Sony laid off security employees just before the hacking attacks that shut down most of their online presence. Team Fortress 2 is now FREE TO PLAY to all Steam account holders...And many gamers start to whine. Sony Online Entertainment is shutting down Star Wars Galaxies, presumably to make way for The Old Republic. EVE Online players are raging over the latest expansion due to graphics, a cash shop, and a seemingly misinterpreted leaked newsletter from inside CCP Games. The ensuing protest shows why EVE's server structure is amazing. Then we have an interview with Bernard Hoang about the Nyko Zoom, a peripheral to allow the Kinect to work in smaller spaces. Then we take a call about EVE Online, and celebrate OLR's ninth birthday with LOKI being as subtle as a two by four to the head. | 6/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

297 - 06/19/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Interview with AJ LoCascio (Voice of Marty McFly), Child of Eden Impressions | We begin by giving our impressions of Child of Eden...Rez was amazing, does Child of Eden live up to it for the price that they're charging for it? The PR firm representing Duke Nukem Forever stated publicly what goes on behind the scenes with regard to bad reviews and pays the price for it. Crysis 2 and other EA games are no longer available on Steam...Who is to blame? Nintendo stated that the Wii U will NOT have DVD and Blu-Ray movie playback capabilities - we explain why. We announce the winners of the PlayStation Home VIP Card contest from last week. Then we air an E3 interview with AJ LoCascio, the voice of Marty McFly in Telltale Games' Back to the Future series. We ask about Deloreans, Michael J. Fox's reaction to his performance, and give him an opportunity to bash the host which he does not take. Then we take calls about Duke Nukem Forever and PlayStation Home. During the OLR segment, we discuss our Disneyland adventure and explain ElecTRONica and Flynn's Arcade...It's a retro gamer's paradise! | 6/22/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

294 - 05/29/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Old DNF Preorders, NGP Downgraded? | We begin with an update on the patent troll situation from last week - Apple fought back with a nicely worded bitchslap. We all know that retail stores will let you preorder games well before their release date - what happens if you preordered Duke Nukem Forever when it was first announced a decade ago? Is Sony downgrading their PSP successor (rumored to be called Vita) in order to make it more financially competitive to the 3DS? We give our impressions of the multiplayer portion of Motorstorm: Apocalypse now that PSN is back up. Then we take calls about disasters, Dead or Alive: Dimensions, and E3. | 6/1/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

293 - 05/22/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Patent Trolls vs. iOS Developers, 3DS Terms of Service Worries | In terms of topics covered, this is probably one of the most serious and important episodes we have done in quite some time. We don't talk that much about games, but more about what's going on under the hood. We begin by talking about how the patent holding company Lodsys is sending legal notices to small independent iOS developers for including technology that Apple requires for in-app purchases. They only want 0.575% of ALL revenue generated via in-app purchases since 2009, is that so wrong? The Nintendo 3DS Terms of Service has several paragraphs that are troubling if they are used in the absolute worst way...And you won't believe what the privacy policy states that children should NOT do with the device! Then we take calls all about LA Noire - why some people hate it, asking if people will hate Rockstar for it not being GTA 1946, and why Bobby might like it. | 5/22/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
|
22 |
292 - 05/15/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - PSN Restored, Pricing Based On Consumer? | We start off by discussing Bobby attending E3 not as media, and answers some questions about if that is hypocritical. The PlayStation Network is back in America and Europe, and some new rumors came out about what other online service might have unwillingly lent a hand to the hacking. Valve's Gabe Newell gave an interview where he discussed a possible future pricing structure for games, which takes the consumer into account. Then we take calls about PSN and...Well, no, just PSN. The opening clip was from Electric Sista Hood, which apparently does not have enough Blackwolf in them. | 5/16/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

23 |
291 - 05/08/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Motorstorm: Apocalypse, PlayStation Under Siege Day 18 | A live report from Day 18 of PlayStation Under Siege begins with Bobby taking a controversial view of how it would take a miracle for PSN to be up anytime soon. Sony's CEO Howard Stringer sent out an open letter about the downtime, and played the Tsunami card. Really? Sony is offering Identity Theft protection to US customers, just be sure to cancel in 11 months! A US congressional hearing states that Sony was using outdated Apache servers with no firewalls, but tech savvy gamers disagree. Another attack exposed the entrants to a 2001 sweepstakes...Are the hackers done yet? And then we talk about a game - Motorstorm: Apocalypse - at least the singleplayer portion. Will it be great like the first hour of Split/Second, or terrible like the rest...or both? Then we take calls about PSN and PC Gaming. | 5/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

290 - 05/01/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Interview with Vikas Gupta and Blake Lewin of Gametree TV, PlayStation Under Siege Day 11 | We begin the show with a live report from the trenches of Day 11 of our not continuous coverage of PlayStation Under Siege. Sony has outlined their new security measures and how they will beg you to come back...Will you? Then we interview Vikas Gupta, CEO and President of TransGaming, and Blake Lewin, President of the Digital Home Division of TransGaming, about Gametree TV, the latest cloud gaming/on demand service that you may soon be able to partake in via your cable company. We discuss what it is, when you can get it, the pricing, bandwidth issues, and how the PSN outage might affect them. Then we take calls about the PSN outage and digital distribution...which angers one of our chatters! | 5/2/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

289 - 04/24/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Portal 2 Review, PSN Issues | We start the show talking about the current downtime of the PlayStation Network. When the show was live, we did not know any reason of the downtime other than an "external intrusion" - more is known at the time of the podcast posting, though! Then we review Portal 2 and find out if it is a worthy sequal to Bobby's 2007 Game of the Year. Then we take calls about the PSN downtime, Portal 2, and during the call to OLR, we delve into some parody music news. | 4/26/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

288 - 04/17/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Amazon Appstore Concerns, New Console Rumors | We first send our condolences over the recent passing of Gerald A. "Jerry" Lawson, engineer of the first cartridge based game console, the Fairchild Channel F. The International Game Developers Association has sent out a bulletin this week urging their members to not do business with the recently launched Amazon Appstore due to pricing concerns. Rumors are swirling about a new Nintendo console to be announced at E3...Could it be true? Then we take calls about Gamestop buying Impulse, PSN connection issues, and a caller who is HAPPY that the Amazon Appstore has the policies it does, and why Amazon has his interests in mind against the big bad game publishers out to rip him off. | 4/18/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

287 - 04/10/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Full House Poker, Impulse Sold | We begin by doing a followup on our impressions of the Nintendo 3DS. Then, we take a look at Full House Poker on Xbox Live Arcade - the successor of the 1 vs. 100 gameplay model. The GRAMMY Awards decided to do a major shakeup of their categories, eliminating some and redefining others...which help video games! Stardock has sold their digital distribution service Impulse to GameStop - but not everybody is happy! Then we take calls about Impulse and the new Sims expansion. I apologize for the delay in getting this posted - I had some issues with my hearing and did not want to edit the show until I had proper use of my ears. 286 - 04/03/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Four Year Old Plays Eyepet And Kinectimals | Since there was no live show on the night of April 3rd, we decided to do a throwback to our live-only hiatus episodes. This segment originally aired on November 21, 2010 and discusses an experiment of having a four year old play Eyepet and Kinectimals. It examines what the child thought of the games, how she reacted to them, and what the game developers could have done better to make the game easier for a parent (or supervising adult) to assist their child in playing the game. This is a must listen if you have a young child and are wondering if these virtual pet games are for you! | 4/3/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

285 - 03/27/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Nintendo 3DS Roundup, Street Fighter, Ridge Racer 3D | This episode is all about the Nintendo 3DS, which launched in the US on the day of the taping. We take you through the features of the system outside of just 3D imagery, and talk briefly about the games Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Ridge Racer 3D. We also have a report that a group of eye specialists disputes Nintendo's warning about children under 6 viewing the 3D images - it could actually be beneficial in detecting vision problems! | 3/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

284 - 03/20/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Food Fight Between Console Devs And Mobile/Social Devs | Thanks to the recent launch of the iPad 2 and Nintendo President and CEO's recent comments at the Game Developers Conference, the industry is on edge and has started flinging mud at each other. On this episode, we look into all that and blow certain comments way out of proportion...After saying what games we're playing on the iPad 2. (Real Racing 2 HD ain't bad, y'all!) Rovio, creators of Angry Birds, says that consoles are dying. Zynga, creators of FarmVille, says that you're no longer a hardcore gamer - your mom is. They also said that Xbox Live is "too small" for their offerings, and will not be publishing to that market. Nintendo, creators of everything, says that garage developers, like Rovio or Minecraft in their early days, are not people that Nintendo wishes to have publish to their WiiWare or DSiWare platforms. Then we take calls about all this stuff and what you think. The conversation with Orange Lounge Radio includes a review of a Japanese 3DS and Motorstorm: Apocalypse, which has been delayed. | 3/21/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

283 - 03/13/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Interview with Grammy Award Winner Christopher Tin (Baba Yetu, Civilization IV) | We have a live interview with Grammy Award Winner Christopher Tin, who will forever be the answer to the trivia question "Who wrote the first video game song to win a Grammy?" thanks to his work on Civilization IV's Main Menu theme, Baba Yetu. We ask him about his past, how he got into music, how he got into the game industry, what he thinks about the Grammy's, and about his album Calling All Dawns. We play two tracks from Calling All Dawns on the podcast that are NOT his famous one. At the midpoint break, we play "Kia Hora Te Marino", and at the end of the show, we play "Hamsafar". Then, we take calls about ice fishing and why there's no game for it, stories in games, and FreeRealms. | 3/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

282 - 03/06/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - RB3 Pro Mode on Real Drums, Xtendplay Giveaway, Iwata vs. Smartphones | We begin by issuing a contest to receive an Xbox 360 Xtendplay - the accessory that assists with your long gameplay sessions. Find out how to win! Bobby finally got his hands on the Rock Band 3 MIDI Pro Adapter and put it through its paces on his Roland V-Drums TD-20-S drumset. We find out if it's really a good way to learn how to play drums, or if it's better to just use the game controller. We take a hard look at the Game Developers Conference and what should and shouldn't be at the show. Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata had some choice things to say about smartphones and how they are devaluing the video game industry. Does he have a point? Then we take calls about the Sony PS3 hacking, Magicka: Vietnam, and we talk about Radiant Historia a little bit more. NEXT WEEK, we have a LIVE INTERVIEW with Grammy award winner CHRISTOPHER TIN! Then we take a look at Radiant Historia for the DS, which many are saying is this generation's Chrono Trigger. With Chrono Trigger being Bobby's favorite game, does this live up? Two Xbox 360 Community Sites closed down this week - 360Junkies and MyGamercard.net. MGC's farewell letter opened a lot of people's eyes to how Microsoft treats the community after setting such a good example several years ago. Then we take phone calls about why you should support community sites, the Nintendo 3DS Japanese launch, Radiant Historia, and why everyone is pushing 3DTV. | 2/27/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

280 - 02/20/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Magicka Review, PS3 Jailbreak Drama | We begin by giving our review of the PC RPG Magicka. It's an indie title developed by Swedish students, can it play with the big boys? Then we delve into a hot issue - Sony's PS3 jailbreaking woes. Sony has announced that they will ban consoles from PSN if they are jailbroken, and have sued the man who brought the code out. He's taking donations for his legal fund, and is trying to get the suit dismissed. This also leads to a very interesting email, which sounds like a veiled threat. Then we take calls about the PS3 and Magicka. | 2/20/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

279 - 02/13/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - You Don't Know Jack Review, No More Hero Games | Gaming history has been made - Christopher Tin won a GRAMMY for "Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s)" for his song "Baba Yetu" which originally served as the main menu music from "Sid Meier's Civilization IV" - this is the first time a song from a video game has ever won a Grammy. Congratulations!!!! We take a look at You Don't Know Jack for the Xbox 360. The amazing trivia game from the 90's is back, and we tell you if it lives up to our memories of the original. A beta build of Crysis 2 for the PC has leaked onto torrent sites, and you won't believe who is upset at who over it! Activision has shut down the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero franchises, as well as several others, and since we love our music games here, we have to talk about it. Then we take calls on Guitar Hero, Rock Band 3, and LittleBigPlanet 2. One of the things NOT discussed in this podcast is about the new rules for sites applying for press badges at E3. That is covered extensively in a blog post on my website BobbyBlackwolf.com - feel free to go over there and check it out if you want my thoughts! | 2/13/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

277 - 01/30/11 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Two Worlds II Review, Sony NGP | We start off by giving our review of Two Worlds II for the Xbox 360. Find out if it makes up for the first game as well as why it was one of the most difficult titles for Bobby to review. The Best Podcast for Intelligent Game Discussion
Blackwolf's show has solid gaming content. What you see up front is what you get. It has a catchy theme, but it needs no gimmicks to deliver a well-thought out show to your ears. Honestly, the show may take a few episodes to get past the fact that Blackwolf has no cohost, but the revolving cast of characters that calls in is more than enough if you need some genuine interaction. The level of depth to the discussion here is something very few other podcasts approach. Five stars without a doubt.
