Podcast Description

The Field Negro Guide to Arts and Culture a podcast with W. Kamau Bell --- outspoken comedian, race commentator, and stealth educator --- and Vernon Reid --- Guitar Legend, Two Time Grammy Award Winner, and founder of Living Colour. We are here to engage in a weekly, freewheeling conversation that covers everything from everything to everything else. It is two black men who have been accused of being outside of the (black) box so long that they have built homes there. Less a traditional podcast and more like a conversation that you overhear in a coffee shop and can't pull away from. IT also includes previously unreleased music by Vernon Reid and the latest stand-up from W. Kamau Bell.

Bravo Guys

Great conversation by two awesome entertainers with a great deal to say about modern/postmodern/postgeek living.
The episode I heard was by turns funny, always edifying, at times, pretty deep. I'm very curious to see where they will take it as the show matures.
BIG UPS, Fellas!!!! Keep on talking, I'll keep listening. -e

Very Interesting!

I found it more like a barber shop conversation where no one was worried about having their opinions frowned upon. I'd be interested in the next one. I can't believe you guys left out Audi & Frank Martin the character from "The Transporter" in your discussion about iconic cars and characters.

Refreshing !!

I became an instant subsciber after listening to the latest podcast. It's very refreshing to hear excellent commentary on various issues.I'm a big Living Colour fan, so hearing Vernon's dry wit, and W. Kamau Bell's humour on various topical issues really adds to the podcast! Please keep up the great work fellas!!!
