Great Setvice for Non-Church People

     

The Loft describes itself (partly tongue-in-cheek) as "the church of last resort.". That may seem a stretch coming from an upper middle class enclave like The Woodlands, but each week the service reminds us that even here there are people with empty lives, heavy hearts, and on their "last chance" search for something more.

More than that, the Loft really does seem to reach out to non-church people (sex workers, the secular, the lost, disaffected teens, etc.). It's weekly sermon is a blend of entertainment, old fashioned social gospel, and a spiritual message grounded in scripture.

If you know someone who is searching but not ready for the heavy message of a traditional church and not comfortable with TV evangelists... someone who is not already "in the club" but is looking for something more, then recommend this podcast. They will find hope and love here, and they will find a non-traditional path to Christ that may just make the difference.
