She has been conducting dream groups and workshops for 20 years and has written two books, Honoring the Dream: A Handbook for Dream Group Leaders and In My Dream, a unique dream journal. She is the Founder and Director of the Institute for Dream Studies (IDS), which offers a two year DreamSynergy™ certification for dream workers. Special Encore Presentation: Receptivity | Receptivity is the focus of today's discussion with my guest Yoga Teacher Jim Emery. This means moving out of your usual way of thinking to receive the wisdom sent by the intuitive mind. When Albert Einstein said "No problem is solved by the same consciousness that created it" he was talking about becoming receptive to a new perspective or insights. By entering the intuitive mind, the chatter of habitual thought patterns is silenced and physical agitation released in order to create a channel in which new ideas and solutions will flow. Jim and I will discuss how to first become centered and release mental chatter to make the shift to the intuitive mind. Once the mind has been quieted it is time to use breathing and relaxation practices to help release the physical tension and become completely receptive. | 9/29/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Extraordinary Dreams and Precognitive Dreams | My guest Dr. Stanley Krippner is a pioneer in the study of consciousness having conducted research in the areas of dreams, hypnosis, shamanism, and dissociation, often from a cross-cultural perspective, and with an emphasis on anomalous phenomena that seem to question mainstream paradigms. He is the co-author of Extraordinary Dreams and How to Work With Them as well as dozens of other books. Currently Dr Krippner is a professor of psychology at Saybrook University in San Francisco, CA. An extraordinary dream of a paranormal nature transcends ordinary reality. One of the many dreams under this classifications that we will discuss is the precognitive dream. This dream that comes true stretches the mind to foresee the future and prepare the dreamer for an upcoming event by providing a warning about an accident, death, or health challenge. Hopefully we will touch upon other extraordinary dreams which include dreams that are clairvoyant, telepathic, past life, spiritual, and out-of-body. | 8/11/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Extended Sense Perception ESP | Extended Sense Perception (ESP), also known as extended sense perception has three components. Telepathy allows us to reach beyond the senses and ordinary reality to retrieve information about another person's mental processes. Clairvoyance will present information about ongoing activity in a distant locale. With precognition, a future event is foreshadowed that has not occurred. If you are wondering how this is connected to intuition, listen my guest, Pam Coronado who has been involved in psi criminal work since 1996 when a dream provided her with the information needed to help a search party locate a missing woman in California. Pam will share with us how she uses clairvoyance and psychometry to gain "insight" into a crime or missing person case. Tune in and find out more about the difference between a medium and a psychic detective. Pam will give suggestions about how to develop your intuitive abilities. She will also provide advice for people who want to become a psychic detective | 8/4/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

DREAM BASICS | Can you imagine dreaming of tons of great white sharks chasing and eating people on the beach? Or, being on a skateboard and sailing over the edge of a cliff. Why does your dreaming mind dish up these scary images that feel so real but actually take place when you are sound asleep? Using very graphic symbols, the dream can dramatize the problems and issues arising during the waking hours as well as reveal cherished hopes and desires. Dr. Carl Jung said, "The dream is an invaluable commentator and illuminator of life. Listen to the wisdom of the dream." Are you listening and capturing the wisdom embedded in your dreams? Everyone dreams. Laboratory studies have shown that we experience our most vivid dreams during a type of sleep called Rapid Eye Movement (REM) that occurs every 90-100 minutes, 3-4 times a night. It is also a fact that not everyone can remember their dreams. | 7/7/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

MECHANICS OF INTUITION | Intuition is not just for a few gifted people. It's a powerful tool we all have and one we can learn to tap into and use every day. Intuition known as a clear knowing is the deepest wisdom of the soul. It can be called a gut feeling, sudden knowing, hunch or sixth sense. Everyone has intuitive flashes which you can access anywhere, anytime, day or night, in the office, on a commuter train, at home doing the dishes, in the shower, walking, relaxing, even when sleeping through your dreams. Your intuition will show you how to go beyond the bare data to reach surprising conclusions, tune in to a friend's needs, choose the right partner, come up with an innovative solution, help your family and friends through difficult times. Come listen to today's show and learn how to harness this inner gift in your work and personal life so you can integrate this input with logic for more effective problem solving. Also, you will discover how its unique manifestation appears to each individual | 6/30/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

We are all intuitive beings
I really enjoyed hearing about intuition from both Dr. Marcia and her guest Penny Pierce. I agree that with the overstimulation we face in today's highly technological world, we are almost forced to go within and experience life on a "feeling" basis. I have read all of her books and my favorite was "power hunch" as it validates that we all have intuitive abilities but we often ignore them or push them aside as being too "emotional".
