073 Live from Clearwater, Florida! | We had most of the gang down to shoot the Florida State IDPA match at Wyoming Antelope Club in Clearwater, Florida so we decided to record a podcast. We were down there without the intrepid Steve to guide us but we muddled along and somehow got this together. We talk about the match, shooting when injured or hurting, shoes, sights, CZs, ammo and a whole lot more. Stage 8 form the Florida State IDPA match. We talked a lot about this stage. | 3/21/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

072 LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS, OH MY! | It was world news a few months ago when a crazed man released his menagerie of wild animals upon his community, and then committed suicide. It was left to the Muskingum County, Ohio Sheriff’s Department under Sheriff Matt Lutz to contain the dangerous animals before they could maul or kill citizens. A link is provided here for the report by the Sheriff’s Department. Here, we present the story told by those who were there. A detective who had to blast a lion at close range with a 12 gauge. A deputy who killed a charging bear with a single shot from his Glock .40, just an instant before the bear reached him. The patrol and SWAT deputies who hunted through the night with their patrol rifles and SWAT precision rifles, until the last threat to their community was extinguished. And the high Sheriff, who had to answer for it all. Thanks to our friend, associate, and consultant Keith Jones, who participated in the discussion. 068 JOE ZAMUDIO, ARMED CITIZEN HERO | You heard about Joe Zamudio, the armed citizen hero who helped stop the Tucson Massacre last January, and heard clips of his comments on TV and YouTube. Now, for the first time, hear his whole story in his own words, at a Massad Ayoob Group class hosted by Dan Southard’s Gator Farms Tactical in Sierra Vista, AZ. Share Joe’s outrage at the Brady Bunch types who accused him of “almost shooting the wrong person” … and realize by that standard, if you’re listening to this podcast while driving, you just “almost” had a hundred head-on collisions with traffic in the opposite lane. We salute Joe Zamudio, a genuine American hero and a role model for responsibly armed citizens. 065 JOHN HANLON REMEMBERS | The ProArms crew is proud to bring you an interview with one of the survivors of the cataclysmic gunfight that occurred in a southern Miami suburb now known as Pinecrest, 25 years ago this coming April 11. New information continues to emerge from this extremely complicated engagement. It had been reported that Hanlon had passed out from loss of blood after being wounded and seeing his companions killed alongside him, but we now learn from the man himself that he never lost consciousness. In the moments before the shooting erupted, while Hanlon was trying to force the suspects’ car off the road from the left side, Agent Richard Manauzzi had rammed the fugitive vehicle from behind, spinning it out of control. Mas had reported back in the ‘80s that Manauzzi had done so to keep either of them from shooting Hanlon or his partner Ed Mireles, but Hanlon reveals that Manauzzi had actually seen suspect Michael Platt raising his rifle toward Hanlon and Mireles. In risking his own life to ram them, Manauzzi probably saved the lives of the agents. Without that action, the fatalities on the FBI side would likely have doubled. We are pleased to be the venue in which this important information was revealed. Steve and Mas, two of our ProArms members with many years in law enforcement, both feel that Hanlon’s comments about the character needed for the job should be played to police recruits on their first day at the Academy. All of us salute the eight courageous agents, living and dead, whose selfless actions brought to an end the long, murderous rampage of Michael Platt and William Matix, and we particularly thank retired Special Agent John Hanlon for sharing his recollections and observations with us and our listeners. | 1/9/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

063 Rhino? Why, yes! | The Rhino is a homely beast but you should try one, at the least. -- With apologies to Ogden Nash. This is a long episode. First the ProArms team was charged with testing a Chiappa Rhino and we found a lot to like about this new revolver of revolutionary design. In the second part we talk with Grant Cunningham about the mechanics of the Rhino, and more. Links: Chiappa Rhino Website Grant Cunningham's Blog Posts on the Rhino, excellent pictures here. Our Lovely Holster Model Chris, shows off the Rhino in it's sleek custom holster. History Of the Rhino Some new info from the Manufacturer: RHINO PERFORMANCE KITS A revolver bred for competition! The Rhino Revolver’s unique combination of ergonomic design and physical characteristics will make it a natural born revolver for competitive shooting. Chiappa has developed a series of competitive enhancement kits to meet the specific needs of competitive shooting sports which will increase the Rhino’s performance to the greatest degree. Both double action pull and single action release will be greatly enhanced by these performance kits. Please note, that due to the lighter pull obtained, some of these kits may not be suitable for defensive purposes and should not be utilized in a “Service” revolver. Every Rhino will be manufactured with a standard “Fire Control” set, however you will have the option for the following performance “Fire Control” sets: Stage 1: While maintaining reliability for a “Service Revolver”, Stage 1 Fire Control reduces both double action trigger pull and SA release from the standard model bringing the DA pull to approximately 8-10 Lb, with a very smooth DA cycle. Stage 2: Perfect for combat / tactical competition, Stage 2 Fire Control kit reduces the DA trigger pull is reduced and will allow speed on trigger release. DA Trigger pull is reduced to 7-8 pounds delivering a very soft but reliable DA trigger pull with reliable ignition* (this set must be used with soft primers to insure reliability) Stage 3: For speed events and precision shooting, the Stage 3 fire control kit is the perfect choice! Stage 3 reduces the double action pull to a mere 6-7 pounds, providing a very smooth and lightning quick trigger return. (This set must be used with soft primers to insure reliability) Only authorized service centers can perform these modifications, because they will have necessary tools and original components for replacement. // | 11/18/10 | Free | View In iTunes |

047 Ed Brown and Jared Reston | This week we have two very different interviews both recorded at the SHOT show in January. First we have Mas interviewing Ed Brown of Ed Brown Custom about his fine 1911 pistols in general and the model that Mas designed for them as the most recent gun in their signature series. Here's a review of the gun by Walt Rauch. Ed Brown and Mas with the Massad Ayoob Signature 1911 The second interview that Mas does is the latest in our series of interviews with people who have been in armed encounters and survived to share their stories with us. This time Mas interviews Jared Reston a Jacksonville Florida Police Officer who not only survived seven hits with a .45, he was able to win the fight. He was most definitely saved by wearing his bullet-proof vest but he still received some very serious gunshot wounds. Listen to his chilling story. Once again, as in all of these stories, there are many lessons here to be learned. I am just going to list a few links to Jared's story here. Jan 26, 2008 Jan 30, 2008 SHOT Show 2010 video Jared Reston pointing to where the .45 cal bullet exited after it smashed his jaw. We enjoy all of the Podcasts on the Gun Rights Radio Network and participate in the forum but the GRRN needs our help to continue. As we add more Podcasts to the network and new people join the forum our resourced are getting sapped. We at the ProArms Podcast never ask you for donations because we have a wonderful sponsor, the Pro Arms Store, but the GRRN relies on subscriptions to pay it's bills. So in order to help raise some funds for the GRRN we are offering a chance to win $800.00 worth of training from the newly formed Massad Ayoob Group. That amount will cover the tuition for 4 or 5 day MAG 40 course. We will be accepting entries through September 30 2010. If you would like to enter please forward a copy of your paid subscription or donation to: contest@massadayoobgroup.com. One last comment: We are still in the process of moving everything over to our new servers for the podcast and are trying to make a few improvements / adjustments too. The next interview is with another prolific author, Kathy Jackson, who is also the editor of Concealed Carry Magazine and the creator the The Cornered Cat website. If you've never visited The Corner Cat you're missing a lot and it's not just for women, guys can learn something there too. Kathy talks with us about her book that she co-authored with Mark Walters of Armed American Radio called Lessons from Armed America.True-life stories of armed encounters and the lessons that we can learn from them. 044 Rangelog, HoJutSu & Federal Ammunition | This week we’re back with a trio of interviews from the SHOT Show. First we talk with Tim Brandt from Federal Premium about new ammunition they are developing and some old ammunition. Next we talk to Jeff Hall who is the founder of Hojutsu, the art of gunnery. Our third segment brings you one of the developers of a new training tool called Rangelog. It’s an online training tool for shooters. We get a lot of questions asking us how to train, what kind of drills to do, how do you know when you are getting better, etc. Rangelog looks like the answer to most of these questions, it is a website where you can keep track of your training drills, chart your progress and much more. You can enter your own drills or search their library of drills to find new training drills for you to try. 035 The Bison King | This is a story of justice gone wrong. It doesn't include guns or shooting but there are many lessons to be learned here. If you spend any time on the various internet fora you will come across many discussions of what would happen if one is involved in a self-defense shooting. You will hear people state something to the effect of "It doesn't matter what kind of gun, ammo, trigger etc. that I use, all that matters is if it's a good shoot." The people who actually work in the courts have seen otherwise. Often, personal agendas and political correctness drive lawsuits that have no merit, and occasionally, they even engender wrongful prosecutions. Here, Attorney Jim Fleming details one of the latter. It wasn’t a shooting case, but the same dynamics that occurred in this incident will be familiar to anyone who has ever been wrongfully accused. 030 Ruger SR-556 Review | This week we travel up to New Hampshire and are joined by the recently retired Chief of Police of Grantham, Russ Lary. Together we visit the Ruger plant where they make all of the long guns and revolvers. Our focus is mainly on the SR-556 but we also check out where the other guns are made; particularly the LCR. We have pictures of hundreds of guns getting ready to ship, there’s no shortage here, they’re making them as fast as they realistically can. They have a new manufacturing paradigm at Ruger, now they can rapidly ramp up production on the guns that they have more orders for. For instance the 10/22s are turned out at a rate of 2 rifles per minute, while the manufacturing cells of the less ordered guns may have one or two people working in them. We shot two different SR-556s at two different ranges with excellent results at both sessions. The guns ran smoothly, even with rapid fire, we got good groups and we experienced no malfunctions at all, with several different types of ammo. In the second segment we talk with Russ about his opinion of the SR-556 and what he thinks of the rifle’s future in the military and law enforcement, despite the fact the company is only marketing to the civilian market right now. | 8/2/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

029 A Tale of Two Gunsmiths | This week we talk to two excellent Gunsmiths. First is Denny Reichard who specializes in the Smith & Wesson revolver. He is the owner Sand Burr Gun Ranch in Rochester, Indiana. A great place to shoot, buy guns, get guns fixed or just hang out. This interview was done in an open barn so please try to ignore the annoying bird. We also talk to Ray Saltzman who specializes in the 1911 and high performance rifles. He can be reached at: Saltzman Gun Works 765-675-2040 3896 South 400 West Tipton, IN 46072 sgwi@tds.net sgwi@tds.net We also talked briefly with a representative from ATK about the current ammo shortage back in April when we were at the ILEETA conference, seems like not much has changed since then. sgwi@tds.net | 7/19/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

028 The Browning High Power | Hi, folks -- To fill in our podcast notes on the Hi-Power episode, #28, the first thing we have to tell you is that we neglected something so basic to Browning Hi-Power shooters that all the experienced people who fit that description on the podcast forgot to mention it. While the gun has always been listed as a fourteen-shot pistol (thirteen in the magazine, one more in the chamber) Team ProArms goes with the collective wisdom that it is usually wise to download the magazine by one. Mas notes that when he was in England, British SAS troopies told him they were penalized a day without pay for each Hi-Power magazine they were found carrying with more than twelve rounds. Apparently squeezing in the thirteenth round not only makes reloading difficult with the slide forward (no flex left in the magazine spring due to densely packed cartridge stack), but for the same reason causes additional friction drag between the topmost cartridge and the bottom of the slide as the pistol cycles after the first shot. This, characteristically, causes a jam between the first and second shots. While it doesn’t happen with all Hi-Power magazines, it has happened with so many that we recommend downloading to twelve per mag. Jargon Alerts: The magazine article Mas is heard quoting from is one that he wrote several years ago for the magazine The Accurate Rifle. The article is attached to the podcast notes. “Flinger-Dinger” is the local terminology (in Suwannee County anyway) for what is more commonly known as the Rotator target. For complete description go to the link provided here for Better-Bilt, the steel target company run by Steve Camp in Illinois. To add to the confusion, two men with the same name come into play here. The other Stephen Camp is the Browning Hi-Power authority who runs the website http://www.hipowersandhandguns.com, which all of us at Team ProArms strongly recommend. CAVIM is the acronym for the Venezuelan company that manufactures very hot NATO spec 9mm Parabellum ammunition. Ed Lovette, mentioned in the podcast, is a former CIA operative and current writer and trainer whose work appears in Combat Handguns magazine. We here all know Ed and strongly recommend that good gun people become familiar with his work. The two gunsmiths most prominently mentioned in the podcast for top-level “carry gun” Hi-Power modifications are Wayne Novak at Novak’s .45 Shop in West Virginia, and Bill Laughridge (pronounced “LOCK-ridge”) who owns the Cylinder and Slide Shop in Nebraska. The manufacturer of the Hi-Power .22 Long Rifle Conversion Unit that was mentioned is Jonathan Arthur Ciener. For information on the Polite Society combat match and Tactical Conference, go to www.rangemaster.com. Gail and Mas both went this year and found it pleasant and instructive, and Gail took High Lady honors at the match. The book mentioned as the best reference on the topic is “The Browning High Power Automatic Pistol” by R. Blake Stevens, published in 1990 in Ontario by Collector Grade Publications. Also of interest is “Inglis Diamond: The Canadian High Power Pistol” by Clive M. Law, from the same publisher. This podcast came directly from listener feedback that we received at the ProArms section of GRRN, Gun Rights Radio Network. We’re eager to hear your feedback, and your ideas for future podcasts. One we’ve already decided to do and are planning for, at listener request, is an episode focusing on the AR15. Oh…and don’t forget to stick around at the end of the podcast for the comments by Rod Blagojevich and his wife, Patty…? http://www.novaksights.com/novak_custom_browning.htm http://www.cylinder-slide.com http://www.22lrconversions.com http://www.rangemaster.com http://www.collectorgrade.com/bookshelf1.html http://www.amazon.com/Browning-High-Power-Automatic-Pistol/dp/0889350892 http://www.booktrail.com/Guns_Handguns/Inglis%20Diamond%20-%20The%20canadian%20high%20power%20pistol.asp | 7/5/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

027 Interview with Ron Borsch and Lou Ann Hamblin | Another Episode from the road, This time at the ILEETA conference in Wheeling IL We have 3 interviews. First we talk to Lou Ann Hamblin a police trainer who, we found out the next day after we did our interview, won the Iron Cop Competition. I thought this would be great for dry-fire practice and really would have come in handy in a class I recently attended where the instructor swept the entire class, he had checked his gun and I guess we were supposed to take his word for it because he stood by his technique even when called on his unsafe behavior. I don't even like guns that I have checked myself to by pointed at any part of my body. A product like this could eliminate that problem. Finally we talk to Ron Borsch who has researched Active-Killer shootings and analyzed the results, his conclusion is that 50% of these shootings are stopped by unarmed citizens and another 25% are stopped by armed citizens. He challenges the police department policies that prescribe that officers wait for orders before entering a building with an active-killing in progress. It is a very interesting discussion that although what he teaches is for police officers only, there are significant implications for the armed citizen. We include his handout with his permission. 020 TALKING TO THE INDUSTRY | Woo-hoo! Here’s our second and final podcast out of the 2009 SHOT Show in Orlando, Florida. Good news: we got some GREAT, exclusive interviews with heavy hitters in the firearms world! Listen to Scott O’Brien, head of Safariland’s combined products group, explaining why an era has ended and Bianchi holsters, that once competed with Safariland holsters, will now be “Bianchi by Safariland,” etc. Listen to Charles Brown, speaking for Hi-Point, Charter Arms, and Chiappa explain where those manufacturers position those “entry level” guns, and why. (Hint: you’ll be surprised at how much of the market share Hi-Point holds.) Listen to Justin Moon, designer of the Kahr pistol series and head of the company, tell the story of the Kahr product and introduce you to their new, ten-ounce, mini-.380 pistol. …And, finally, listen to The Great One, multiple time world champion Rob Leatham, tell his own story as it has never been told before! Be prepared for gun advice from the World Champ that may shock you! Bad news: we did the interviews amid a Tower of Babel of almost 50,000 people talking simultaneously in a convention center, with all sorts of electronic interference. Yes, you’ll be able to hear everything that was being said…but not, it won’t have the sound quality of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing in a studio. | 3/15/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

018 Crimson Trace Laser Grips and Laser Sights Review | Finally we present our much awaited, much requested episode on Crimson Trace Laser Grips and Sights. We all use them for a variety of purposes and hope we can answer some of our listener questions here. First we’ll start off with a link to crimson trace so you can see just what we are talking about: http://www.crimsontrace.com/ Chris Christian could not be with us on the day we recorded so we are posting what he had to say here: Many shooters find that with just minimal practice the CTC sights can be instinctual to use in a stress situation. You know that I’m a well trained shooter, practice regularly, and am always among the Most Accurate at the one or two IDPA matches I shoot each month. I know what iron sights look like, and how to use them I also have CTCs on three "working" guns. The CTCs are zeroed, but I don’t practice with the lasers much at all ( I may go months without firing a single round with them).Virtually all my practice is with my iron sighted match guns. NOW.. WITH ALL THAT SAID... When I went through LFI 1 last year we did the video "Shoot/Don’t Shoot" drills. Steve’s J-frame (empty) with CTC was the gun we used. There is a significant degree of stress facing the video with the whole class watching. Your conscious mind is attempting to evaluate the situation and take the proper course of action. The first scenario I faced was the old fart with the crowbar at the back of the house who suddenly turns and charges you with it raised. It happens very fast! I quickly double tapped him in the upper COM (Sniper’s Triangle, Golden Triangle, whatever you want to call it). Steve commented " Good hits." I knew they were because I could see the laser. BUT I DO NOT CONSCIOUSLY REMEMBER SEEING THE IRON SIGHTS. When that threat materialized quickly, under stress, the gun was properly presented to the target and that bright red dot became my immediate sub-conscious focus point. It overrode years of iron sight training. It completely dominated my sub-conscious mind and the double tap hits were instinctive. If the laser had not been present I would have made hits with the iron sights... but not as fast, and not as accurately. My experience... and my opinion... is that a shooter with some level of training will bring the gun on target, and seek some degree of sight picture/sight alignment. If the laser isn’t visible due to light levels or background it is a non-factor, ignored by the sub-conscious, and iron sight training takes over. If the laser is brightly visible it seems to AUTOMATICALLY OVERRIDE that... sub-consciously... and becomes the focal point. And, it doesn’t seem to take a lot of training to have that occur. When things happen quick & close that bright red dot will drive the sub-conscious mind, Just a thought. Chris | 3/1/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

017A Homing in on the Defensive Shotgun | It’s our last episode of the year and it is Magnum sized, so big that we had to divide it into two parts so be sure that you get both parts! (A double-barreled podcast, so to speak.) In response to lots of listener feedback and questions we thought that we would discuss the shotgun for home defense. We did a lot of shotgun shooting last week in an LFI class and we did some testing. We compared the use of the 12ga. vs. 20ga. shotgun for home defense with some commonly available and similar loads. Both shotguns were fired at a distance of seven yards from the target. The first picture is from a 20ga. shotgun loaded with #3 Buckshot: Second picture is from a 12 ga. shotgun loaded with #4 Buckshot: The subject of the Taurus Judge came up in our discussion of the .410 load. This picture was also posted on the forum but it bears repeating here: This pattern was fired at five feet from the Judge with a 2 ½” .410 birdshot cartridge Taurus Judge caught at the instant of discharge. Round is 2 ½” .410. | 2/1/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

015 The 10mm and the Harold Fish Case | The ProArms Team discusses the 10mm. Mas covers the History of the 10mm and the group discusses the various guns and cartridges available. Next we listen to a gentleman who was involved with the Harold Fish case from Arizona. Harold Fish defended himself from an irate attacker, while walking on the Arizona Trail, with a 10mm Handgun and is currently in prison after being found guilty of Second Degree Murder. In the court case the 10mm pistol he used was demonized as well as his choice of hollowpoint ammo for it. We’re not telling you don’t carry a 10mm or don’t carry hollowpoints, we’re showing you an example of how you can be doing everything correctly and still be in trouble. JR Robie was Harold Fish’s Concealed Carry Instructor. Check out MSNBC for their story on Mr Fish and don’t forget to check out the evidence pictures. Read Mr. Fish’s statement at the sentencing hearing, imagine how this could happen to any of us. J.R. tells us what he knows about Harold’s story and a little bit about this case. Mr Fish is appealing his case and could use all the help he can get. | 1/4/09 | Free | View In iTunes |

013 The “Snubby” Revolver | The ProArms team tries something different for this episode. Normally our producer (me) spends a lot of time editing each podcast, taking out the umms, ahhhs, creaks and any bad words that might occur. This time we are presenting it to you in all its unedited glory. Don’t worry; it still has a PG rating. Sometimes we talk at the same time and interrupt each other. Here you will see what one of our recording sessions really sounds like. 011 The Glock Pistol and Chris Edwards talks about GSSF | The ProArms Team takes a look at the ubiquitous Glock pistol in all its incarnations. Present for this Discussion are: John, Terri, Mas, Steve, Herman, Mike, Gail and Claudette the Rottweiler. Since its inception the Glock has proven itself to be a very popular pistol in the Military, Law Enforcement and civilian markets. All the participants have not only “taught and shot” the Glocks extensively, but all have substantial experience carrying them. All likewise have considerable experience shooting matches (and frequently winning) with Glocks in calibers 9mm, .40, .45 ACP, and even .45 GAP. Two have carried them on police duty, and one has been involved in court cases that focused on shootings with Glock pistols. We also go into the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) matches, and include an exclusive interview with The Man Himself, Chris Edwards, head of GSSF! If all you know about Glock is what you hear in the movies like this quote from Die Hard 2: “That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me! You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines, and it costs more than you make here in a month!” You defiantly need to listen to this podcast. 010 Save The Blue Trail Range and a Conversation with Bill Allard | The ProArms podcast is on the road again. This time we visit the Blue Trail Range in Connecticut. The range has been in existence for over 60 years and now they have been under siege by a developer who wants to shut down the range. Gail talks with range owner David Lyman about the problems they have been facing. If you would like to follow what’s happening there or can help them out in any way visit SaveblueTrailRange.org. In the second segment Massad and Gail talk to a living legend: Bill Allard. Bill was part of the well known New York City Stake-Out Squad, which was disbanded in the 1970’s. First we talk about the work he is doing now with American Defense Systems, Inc. Then he talks to us about some of his experiences and the mindsetneeded to survive a gunfight. You can read more about Bill Allard and his late partner in Paul Kirchner’s excellent book, "Jim Cirillo’s Tales of the Stakeout Squad." | 10/26/08 | Free | View In iTunes |

009 Smith & Wesson M&P Autopistols and one revolver | Steve is back and in this episode the ProArms Team runs the Smith & Wesson M&P auto pistols through their paces at a local IDPA match. Mas gives us a history of the M&P and other polymer pistols made by S&W. Chris, who has been a big M&P fan for quite some time, gives us his opinions and he has a lot of them. You can contact Kenny Dickerson, whom Chris mentions more than once, through Speed Shooters Specialties. Then the whole ProArms team gives their impressions of how the guns fared at the match and in general. Herman, who chose to stick with his M&P revolver, has some interesting observations too. Several of the team members have trained a lot of folks to shoot M&Ps, and its ability to adapt to different shooters is knowledgeably discussed. Learn what major police departments have adopted the M&P pistol, in all four of the calibers in which it is offered. Mas mentions that he was using a TKW holster; TKW does not have a website but can be contacted at: tkwholsters@comcast.net. The Smith & Wesson M&Ps we shot for this episode were: M&P 9 Pro – Mas M&P 9 – Gail M&P 9 - Chris M&P .45 - John M&P .45 Manual Safety - Roger Clark M&P Model 10 .38 Revolver - Herman Links: Speed Shooters http://www.speedshooterspecialties.com M&P http://www.smith-wesson.com http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/080828/lath002.html?.v=101 http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/080828/lath002.html?.v=101 | 10/12/08 | Free | View In iTunes |

006 Shooting IDPA & and Maurizio Lai | Since we started the ProArms Podcast we seem to have mentioned IDPA, the International Defensive Pistol Association, in almost every episode. So, we figured that it was time we did an episode where we talk about IDPA. All of us compete in a variety of the shooting disciplines but the one we all have in common is IDPA. We recorded this episode after a match at our local club, First Coast IDPA, hosted by Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club in Jacksonville Florida. We are joined by a visitor from Italy, Dr Murizio Lai, with whom we talk about gun owner issues and shooting IDPA in Italy, as well as what he had to go through traveling with his guns to the US. Like many of us Dr. Lai is a big Glock and Smith & Wesson fan. Below is a picture of his Glock 19 chambered for the 9 x 21 cartridge. Also joining us is First Coast IDPA Match Director Dr. Ed Sevetz and his friend Donna from Australia, who fired her first shot at the match. The next afternoon the ProArms team got together to discuss the history of IDPA and the valuable lessons that can be learned when participating in a match. We are joined by Bud Dees, a Firearms Instructor, who gives us his impressions of IDPA as a first time shooter in that arena. We are also joined by Matt Morgan, who is part of the ProArms family, and has been shooting competitively for several years now. Matt is pictured on our banner; he’s the second from the right. the king of all firearms podcasts
quite simply the best firearms podcast available. the hosts experience and subject mastery would be impressive in any field of study. we are lucky to have them- not the other way around. mas is awesome. this professional group is intelligent (dont let the accents fool you), humorous, and they dont get pulled into all the political name calling that EVERY other gun related podcast does. search no further.
One of the best
Excellent deep dive into an interesting topic each time. It is not just a simple, do this or don't do that, but a long (some times hour or better) round table discussion of the reason why. Topics run the gammut, but center on self defence and concealed carry.
This is THE ONE!
Mas and the crew produce a superior podcast each week. I've been hooked ever since the first. Fantastic.
