Mr Lindsey's self absorption, who needs it?
Like all things Mr Lindsey touches, like Pixelcorps, This Week in Media is another example of failed promises and opinions coming from areas where wishful thinking originates and monkeys fly from. Too bad there is no half or zero star rating, short of that, seek and then avoid all things connected to Pixelcorp. Mr Lindsey may have a talent for nothing else but he is a genius of leveraging one opportunity to another to give that appearance, that only being in print or media can deliver, that he is of some substance and that he knows something about what he is talking about. Unfortunately, the only way to figure that out is to experience him for some period of time. I could direct many of you to take a look at the forums at Pixelcorps to see this for yourself but that would cost you $150. The forums used to be free to read and cost only to post but after the implosion from members asking why a promised and not delivered cost reduction did not happen, and then an astoundingly raving MR Lindsey response to those paying members, Pixelcorps has been blacked out to the non paying eyes. How does this relate to This Week in Tech, MacBreak and This Week in Tech ? In 2 ways: Mr LIndsey used the Piexlcorps to get himself into this position as a pseudo pundit with a marginal and questionable history. Reason 2, promises incomplete, Mr Lindsey stated there would be a daily report from NAB in his TWIM episode #49, unless 6 days is now defined as daily, coming out with an episode on the 22nd falls a bit short. Enough said.
Alex reads the Economist, doesn't own a TV
Spoiled geeks sit in a bath together and amuse each other, but in the process reveal existential, life-changing wisdom
A great balance of subjects
As a video guy, I find the discussions of this group extremely relevant. tWiM covers the full spectrum of the media world: technologies, gear, markets, players - all with a bent towards contextualizing the interruptive nature of new media.
