Note the source
AspiringDocs.org is geared toward encouraging minorities to enter the medical profession. It's not meant to bring anyone down, but offer encouragment and information to a specific group of people. There are tons of resources for pre-medical individuals online such as AAMC, Kaplan, Princeton Review, and of course, you can always call admissions at the schools you are interested in.
Way to go! :D
She is lucky she did not have any "barriers" or difficulties. I am assuming Eric, the interviewer, was trying to get her to say she faced racial or background barriers but she did not and many people do not. It is really annoying when people pull the race card like the first person who reviewed this podcast. If you are great in school, perform well on your MCATs, and you are honest about why you want to be a doctor, it does not matter who you are. If you deserve to be in medical school, YOU WILL GET THERE. If they see that you want to be a doctor and are not easily phased by your competition, YOU WILL GET THERE.
Over emphasis on medical education for minorities
I'm a white male. So this Podcast really brings down my dream of entering medical school.
