| 4 | VideoTRANSLOGIC 87: Electric DeLorean DMC-EV | Texas-based DeLorean Motor Company is looking to redefine the iconic DMC-12 conceived by John Z. DeLorean over 3 decades ago. While its pop-culture status as the "Back to the Future car" will never change, the DMC-12's reputation for surprisingly poor performance can certainly be addressed. With some help from Epic EV, the folks at DeLorean have swapped the car's original 130 hp V6 for an all-electric powertrain that produces 260 max hp and is reported to go from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds. That's certainly one way to transport the stainless steel, gull-winged wonder from the past into the future. | 1/17/12 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 5 | VideoTRANSLOGIC 86: Rolls-Royce 102EX Phantom EV | Electric cars are all about economy, but they don't have to be a compromise. Tesla showed us how fun going fuel-free can be with their sporty Roadster. Now, Rolls-Royce has entered the ring with their Phantom-based 102EX "experimental electric." While still just a concept, the Rolls-Royce 102EX displays how an EV should behave in the ultra-luxury segment. | 1/9/12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Now, Land Rover has re-imagined the iconic Defender with their futuristic DC100 concepts. Typically showcars are just that--for show--but, we actually got to drive the DC100 Sport concept and we're happy to report that it's packed with enough tech to make James Bond himself jealous. | 12/19/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 8 | VideoTRANSLOGIC 83: 2011 LA Auto Show, DOK-ING XD, CODA Automotive | While at the 2011 LA Auto Show, we took a break from the major manufacturers to focus on some electric carmakers that have yet to become household names. DOK-ING is a Croatian company that produces mining, firefighting and robotics equipment, but its unique XD prototype looks to make a splash in the automotive world. CODA hit the scene a few years ago and says they're finally ready to bring an EV to market. Will either of these industry outsiders edge their way in? | 12/12/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
| 9 | VideoTRANSLOGIC 82: 2011 LA Auto Show, German EVs | European automakers have long since favored fuel-sipping diesels over plug-in electric vehicles, but that's all about to change with new EV-focused programs from two of Germany's biggest manufacturers: BMWi and Audi e-tron. Because of its specialty equipment focus, SEMA has more space on the showroom floor for the little guys who could never hope to showcase their ideas at other major auto shows. From heavy-duty hybrid conversions, to test driving robots, to a vehicle that utilizes gesture controls instead of a traditional radio dial, it's safe to say that there's more to SEMA than first meets the eye. | 11/23/11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The storied automaker has been synonymous with motorsport for generations, and the Rennsport Reunion at the famed Laguna Seca raceway seeks to honor that heritage. But, there's more than just nostalgic racers to be found at Rennsport. We check out the new Porsche 911, and the 767 hp 918 RSR hybrid. | 11/21/11 | Free | View In iTunes |
