Customer Reviews
Less is More, but I still want MORE!
I almost wish I had discovered this podcast later, after they had more episodes stocked up. I love the 15 minute format a lot more than I thought I would, but at the same time I wish there were more episodes to listen to. If you are thinking of trying this podcast out, 15 minute podcast download pretty fast. By the time you finish reading these reviews you could have already downloaded one and made up your own mind! Get to it.
Extremely helpful!
These three are really informative and interesting at the same time, talking about brainstorming and outlining in a way that's universally helpful. They remain focus the whole 15 minutes and don't go rambling off on a tangent somewhere. Any fledging writer would be smart to tune in!
Top Five for Writing Podcasts
Brandon Sanderson is the only host that I've actually heard of, as a successful Fantasy author, but that is far beside the point. Howard Taylor and Dan Wells are just as knowledgable as Brandon, who sort of plays the host and lets the other two answer the questions more often. They've really hit the time factor extremely well, saying "Fifteen minutes because you're in a hurry, and we're not that smart." I love a podcast that gets to the point and doesn't belabor things. This is one of those shows that kicks you in the butt and just motivates you to get busy. They don't waste time with navel-gazing and philosophical debates. They are professionals with work to produce, and if you ever want to get paid for your writing, you've got to do the work. Practicality is the name of the day, with things you can immediately apply to your writing life, in digestable chunks that aren't difficult to process. Good for advice, and great for a laugh, this podcast is well worth the listening if you're a writer of any persuasion.
