The official Google app gives you more ways to search – Use your camera to uncover who painted that artwork, translate a menu on your travels, find out what type of dog that fluffy thing is, shop anything you can see, and solve your homework. Oh, and you can also search for songs by humming.
Feature highlights:
• Use your camera to identify what you’re looking at – whether that’s a colourful butterfly, a spiky plant, or anything else you’re curious about.
• Translate over 100 languages on things like road signs, menus, and any other words you can point your camera at.
• See something you like? Use your camera to find out where you can buy it.
• Refine your camera searches by adding words – whether you want those shoes but in ‘blue’, or want to learn how to ‘repair’ that broken bit on your bicycle.
• Search by singing, even when you’ve forgotten the lyrics. Hum a song into the Google app to find out what it is.
• Use your camera for homework help. With step-by-step guides and videos, you can learn ways to solve maths, chemistry, biology and physics problems.

• Google Search widget — Search from your home screen or lock screen with the new Google widget. Choose from 2 widgets, giving you a quick search bar in both sizes, and shortcuts to choose how you Search with Lens, Voice, and Incognito in the medium size widget.

Ratings and Reviews
Works fine
Altough the app works good, some releases come with issues and UI/UX changes.
For example its not anymore correct to write open in Safari as the default browser can be changed now in iOS.
I also really hate this continous update train. At least you could write some meaningful release notes. See Slack app release notes for example!
Google is taking out good reviews based on false claims
I wrote a good review for a restaurant and uploaded 3 photos and Google took the review down saying that I received money to do that, as I was some kind of influencer or something. It would have taken them 10 sec to check my SoMe profiles and see that I am a regular person and just because I take good pictures and give an honest good review, doesn’t mean I got paid for it. I still have the receipt from that meal, but there is no way to appeal the decision. I had the option to press the appeal button, without the possibility of adding any comment of proof, and guess what? They came back with the same answer: the review is taken down. And then they wonder why people don’t give reviews anymore or why they suddenly stop using their apps.
Disappointing
Lately it’s getting harder and harder to ignore these bugs , can’t copy text , you highlight the text and press copy but when pressing paste nothing happens, now it’s the second time i reinstall the app because it crashes everytime it opens up.
