ОдобреноBe Lazy Mix 17 – A Skillz Beats Working vol. 1 Guestmix! | We told you a while ago on Twitter that we had some great stuff coming your way & this is the first of our surprises! A while ago A Skillz put together "A Skillz Beats Working vol. 1" - a 30 minute mix of the sort of stuff he'd be playing out over the next few months. He has very kindly allowed us to use this mix as our 17th Be Lazy guestmix! A Skillz is an English breakbeat, dance & mashup artist. His debut album "TrickaTechnology" (released in 2003) alongside KraftyKuts is absolutely brilliant but to my mind, his real strength lies in his Serato-driven live shows. The mashups & blends are seamless, his track selection is perfect for the venue / gig slot & his sets always have a real "fun" side to them - something sadly lacking in a lot of today's DJ sets. That said, you might think that his mixing ability takes a backseat in favour of tune selection. Not at all. His 2005 BBC Radio 1 minimix was voted the best minimix of the year by the Radio 1 listeners. The LR crew saw him live in Newcastle at World Headquarters & we loved it so much, we saw him a week later at Rockness 2010! This is a seriously fun, funky, brilliantly put together mix from a DJ who you should definitely go see live.
