Best Swedish album of the year?
Electronic pop music when it's at its best. Catchy but with an interesting depth. Except for what's already mentioned, there are clear musical influences from 80's music like Kate Bush, Propaganda and Nasa as well as later works by Kylie Minogue. And the album cover bears more than just a slight visual resemblance to some of the works of the Austrian 19th century painter Gustav Klimt.
Knife with a beat
OK, maybe it's tiring for Zeigeist to always be compared with The Knife. They really deserve better... This is (mostly) a fantastic album, with great songs, basslines and beats. And you see them live.....it's magical!
Very nice!
For people that love The Knife and want more in the same genre Zeigeist are perfect. They have a good mix between good vocals and sweet electronica. I have not seen them live yet but hopefully I will in the future.
