Yes, please!

I've got mixed emotions about this album. It's sounding very different from the Pet Shop Boys I fell in love with from the first moment I heard "West End Girls" on the radio. However, sometimes different can work, and it really does on "Yes". The first single "Love etc." got stuck in the head right away, bet cheerful and sing-a-long friendly "All Over the World" will be the next one, the stunning "King of Rome" are as beautiful as "Kings Cross" (from "Actually", 1987) and the clever "Legacy" could have been on the "Battleship Potemkin" score. The down side - well, "Vulnerable" and "Pandemonium" I've could have done without, but over all - it's a great pop album. Buy it! Now!

Overall, a decent album

If you have listened to previous albums from Pet Shop Boys with great joy, you will appreciate a lot of the songs on this album. However, the typical Pet Shop Boys sound sadly feels like it's lacking in: "Love etc.", "Beautiful People" and "More Than a Dream". They feel very repetitive and they don't carry the depth that I have come to expect from Pet Shop Boys. Other than that though, the album songs are great and well worth listening to!

Wow, PSB are back in their truly form!

I have been a Pet Shop Boys admirer in ages but became disappointed with the late 90's and early 00's albums. With Fundamental they've showed that they still had huge potential and with Yes they have proven once again that the golden age of the Pet Shop Boys is still alive and kicking. A masterpiece in the Pet Shop Boys album history!
