Every month a new talent from underground techno scene plays for an exclusive 1H DJ set Since its creation, Hard Minimal has become well known in techno nightlife in Marseille organizing more than 10 groovy parties. HARD MINIMAL #14 by Yan Cook (silent steps/brood audio/kiev) | Yan was born in Kiev Ukraine, 1991. At the young age of sixteen he was introduced to electronic music, more specifically Techno and his love for it was instantaneous! In just one year of dabbling around with software synths and teaching himself production he had released his first EP on Beatport. Since then he has worked hard in fine tuning his stone cold, hard Techno sound and establishing his brand. Even though he has worked under a few different aliases as well as other production partners, he finally came to the realization that his musical career is a journey he has to pursue and build on his own. For that reason, in 2011 his global fan base saw the end of the Eigenes Rezept moniker and solely began producing as Yan Cook. Besides his obvious talent for music production, Yan has completed some education in the culinary arts, hence the name Yan Cook! Yan Cookís Techno is definitely a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor and his signature haunting atmospheres and pounding basslines in his tracks definitely leave a lasting impression with his audience. HARD MINIMAL #13 by Virgil Enzinger (icntrl/austria) | VIRGIL ENZINGER is an outstanding Techno Producer, Live Act and DJ. Virgil is widely regarded as the original creator of the DARK TECHNO genre. Virgil's music carries a distinctive mark and he has irresistibly drawn the attention of the audience in clubs and on festivals such as KAZANTIP Z19 2011 (Ukraine), A-ZOV Festival (Sea Of Azov, Russia), NATURE ONE (Frankfurt, Germany), DEFQON 1 (Amsterdam, Holland), TRESOR (Berlin, Germany), MISS LIBERTINE (Melbourne, Australia), FABRIK (Madrid, Spain), U60311 (Frankfurt, Germany), FORSAGE CLUB (Kiev, Ukraine), etc. Virgil has worked with artists such as Chris Liebing, The Advent, Ryuji Takeuchi, Sven Wittekind, Eric Sneo and many more. HARD MINIMAL #12 by Lex Gorrie (sleaze/driving forces/phobiq/brood audio/scotland) | DJ & Producer Lex Gorrie first found his passion for techno music in his late teens, going to pressure at the Arches in Glasgow, Scotland. Where he seen the likes of Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Green Velvet, Jeff Mills & Ritchie Hawtin to name a few. In 2006 he then decided to start his own small techno event called "Sleaze" at club 69 in Paisley, with his brother Stephen(Hans Bouffmyhre). Sleaze was a massive success, attracting big names like Johanness Heil, Radio Slave, Phil Kieran, Extrawelt, Chloe, Dan Ghenacia, Par Grindvik & many more. In the summer of 2008 Lex & Hans founded Sleaze Records, firstly as a platform to release there own music. But the label has grown and grown in the last few years and is now one of the most recognised techno labels on the globe. In his relitively short production career, Lex has burst on the scene & he has been signed to up to a big list of top labels - Driving Forces Recordings, Brood Audio, Phobiq, Illegal Alien, Stolen Moments, Affin, Globox, Italo Business, & of course Sleaze. His first vinyl ep "Sibling Rivalry" was released on Sleaze in September 2011. This was a co production with Hans, the main track "Sibling Rivalry" was riding high in the beatport top 100 charts for a full month. DJ, Producer and Label Owner Michael Schwarz stand for music with passion and love for the detail. Less is more and thats the reason why Michael Schwarz were attracted techno and minimal sounds. Since 2003, he once produced Hardtechno and Schranz - that he published at uptrax.de, now Techno and Deep Techno and improved with every release his sound technical amendments and refinements. 2007 started his DJ career and thus the jump in the deep-techno scene. With the help of his music, he supports numerous campaigns such as "DANCE4LIFE", "LAUT GEGEN NAZIS" or "PETA". In 2005 he founded his own campaign against fur-bearing animal breeding and fur fashion. After a few releases on various Labels like "Sick Weird Rough", "ReWashed", "Speca Records" and others, Cortechs has finished the first album production "The Justifies The Means". This Album will be Released through his regular label "Machine Box" around Q3 2011. Beside original productions Cortechs is often asked to do remixes for other Artists like Mark Morris, A. HARD MINIMAL #03 by TRAUMER (1605/toolroom/klangwelt/irm/paris) | Ce jeune Français de 20 ans attaque fort avec une première signature sur le prestigieux label de Umek, 1605 Music Therapy. Le morceau, "Eilema", sera supporté entre autres par Umek, Electric Rescue et Len Faki. Dans la foulée, il signe un track en coproduction avec Umek, toujours sur 1605, qui logera dans le top 10 beatport dans un premier temps, et re-convoitera la première place pendant 4 semaines, avec sa sortie sur la compilation MIAMI 2O11 du prestigieux label Toolroom. Entre temps il signe deux remixes pour Electric Rescue, qui seront notamment supportés par Stephan Bodzin, Maxime Dangles, Chloé, Henry Saiz et Ryan Davis. Sa dernière sortie sur 1605, "Cobraphobie", a été notamment très apprécié de Len Faki, qui la joue en effet dans tout ses set depuis sa sortie.
