Could be better

Nice app but use on ipad is reduced.
No possibility to print files other than pictures, webpages...
Could be good to print pdf or other files from the ipad folder or be able to print any file just like with airprint.
Thanks

So bare-bones it’s basically nonfunctional

This is a *very* limited app that doesn’t even perform well on the basic functions it does have.

You can only select a few settings like number of copies and paper size within the app. Anything else, included fairly basic functions like double sided printing have to be done via a webpage, which means you have to go into that webpage every time you want to print.

More things you *cannot* do, either via the app or the settings webpage:
1) print multiple pages to a page (e.g. 2 pages per sheet)
2) set document scale % or margins
(even a ‘fit to page’ or ‘print entire image’ setting - the app just seems to arbitrarily decide on a scale based on the paper size you put in. it definitely doesn’t default to printing at 100% scale either.)
3) print select pages from any large documents, since anything over 20 pages seemed to hang in the loading stage for an indefinite amount of time
____________

It’s almost funny how clicking the ‘print’ button in the app auto-loads the Brother support page in your browser app, like they’re saving you the google search for help…

except it’s just a demonstration that Brother KNOWS how bad this app is but simply can’t be bothered to fix it.

It’s probably to do with forcing product obsolescence (I have a HL-2270DW and it’s not AirPrint-enabled), but it displays a tremendous lack of care for their customers. In a pinch i just want an app that works, but this one sure doesn’t do so :/

Scan documents into picture

I used to be able to scan my documents using this app and it will be saved as one pdf files. Now whenever I can my documents, it would be saved as pictures and there is no option to save as pdf file which is very annoying. It defeat the purpose of me getting this scanner. The previous model so much better.
