Very entertaining for pilots and enthusiasts
Nicely done. I was worried during the first few minutes that it might be a tad too simplified such that real pilots would not really want to watch. But turned out to be very well done and highly entertaining. Can't wait for the next episode. Wish I could buy season 1.
Ode of Joy
Liked the Miramar episode very much. I gad complained/whined on one of the previous episodes that the aviation contet was diluted by some othere stuff, but that was no longer the case. I totally enjoyed this episode. It was very interesting to see the challenges of keeping directional control and landing (simm) a wide body a/c on a single engine. Kudos to our host who got it just right on the second attempt (while Beethoven's Ode of Joy played in the background ;) ). Then the part on the Miramar military base was also very interesting: the training, dedication and aircraft were all part of something ill never experience except from the comfort of my couch while watching Aviators. I only wish i could buy the first entire season cuz i dont have the pacience to wait for every Tuesday. Cant wait to see what the future episodes will have; am hoping for something more within reach like general aviation stuff. I like it v. much!
Update: I ment to give it 5 star rating and not lower. i am enjoying the show more as the episodes go by. it covers a good variety of aircraft types and uses from general aviation, aerobatic, military and commercial. I look forward to future episodes whenhopefully there will be somrthing on GA student pilots - that will make it more tangible and get viewers even more interested in GA.
Free episode
The free episode is very informative for those who just want to know how a plane stays in the air,and how it flies and so forth. However if you already know these things it was cool to see some inflight video and getting to know FAA requirements for future pilots.
