Amazing blend of genres
I'm a big Lucero fan, so was thrilled to hear MTV would finally be paying them the attention they deserve. In poking through the previews of the other songs on this soundtrack, it soon became apparent that this album was much more than just the 2 Lucero tracks. Despite its wide range of genres (Al Kapone - hip hop, Amy LaVere - jazzy songstress, Snowglobe - indie pop), the album delivers consistently strong tracks and has introduced me to an amazing new set of artists. Oh, and did I mention LUCERO?!!!!!
Simply WOW!
If you ever been or plan to visit Memphis, you NEED this soundtrack. From Al Kapone to Snowglobe, this album is the sampler of the new Memphis sound. Combine this with the MTV series, you will experience the city like no other.
AMAZING
This album has an amazing new sound. "Gettin' Mine" is my absolute favorite! You have to buy this album! I have it on loop all day long!!!!!!
