This is fresh and fantastic. Very emotional and swimming with depth of expression. This is a whole new level for him. Without a doubt Criag's BEST album.
Junior Album
This is Craig D Andreas' 3rd album for the candyrat label. His first two albums showed his brilliant song writing and guitar prowess. His newest release does not disappoint. This recording takes a little longer to digest and appreciate. Those who take the time to do so will not be unsatisfied. Another great release by Mr. D Andrea (no pun intended).
lots of yummy layers
Nope it's not cake, but it IS audio candy. I've been a huge Mckee and Dufour fan since 2006 and I often wonder if D'andrea gets tired of being compared to, or being lumped into, the Candyrat camp. He is not typically the one getting all the attention even though he has definately won over the respect of his contemporaries (he has been invited to tour with the Candyrat elite multiple times). Craig's work never disappoints, but it is a league all it's own. He isn't an overly technical player, at least not to me, and his strength lies in a knack for lingering hooks and melodies. This album is chock full of both, with so many textures it's hard to realize that it's solo guitar and not multi-track. Just raw emotion, a man and his guitar. By far Craig's best to date and my words will never do it justice. Listen to the sound bytes and find yourself craving more of this masterful work. Highlight tracks are "Shut the Window!", "As We Go" and "No Way"
