Great for the folliclely challenged
Having read about this band in the Washington Post, I decided to check out this U.S. Royalty (uhh, America is not a monarchy, silly!). Initially, I was very impressed with the fresh new sounds and beats, but around track 6, Old Flames, I noticed something. That something was my chin. Starting at track one, I was completely baby-faced, but by miracles of miracles, this music had inspired the tweeded growth of my bum-fights worthy beard. I had never in my life been able grow anything more than some random patchy stubble, but after U.S. Royalty I'll be scaring people in alleyways in no time. Highly recommended!!
Band on the rise
U.S. Royalty is a serious band with serious musical intentions. They are best seen live, although this studio CD captures much of their intensity. This group has already grown from a local DC hit to a touring favorite with their musical influences - U2, T-Heads, Fleetwood Mac - sparking rocking original tunes such as Monte Carlo and Equestrian. As noted by other reviewers, their cover of Stevie Nicks' Wild Heart should be on this CD! Guitar and keyboards highlight the vocals. High energy, intelligent band.
