"YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE" - (Soundtrack)
Having programmed the Nancy Sinatra title track professionally, I was disappointed to hear that the treatment featured here mixed out the edgy, fuzz guitar prominent in the opening credits version of the "James Bond" original. In my view, the guitar chart was key to faithfully reprising the essence of John Barry's iconic "007 THEME."

I agree with your comments, for whatever reason this is not the version heard in the opening sequence of credits. I beleive that version can be found on the album "Nancy in London". I prefer the original used in the film, over the version listed on this soundtrack album. Suprising that the original motion picture soundtrack does not have this version. The version on this album is often the version I believe that gets airplay on the radio. This is also true with another 60's film, which stars Lulu, who also sings the title track in the film 'To Sir With Love', the film version during the opening sequence and credits differs from the released radio play version in lyrics and tempo.
