My absolute favorite artist of all time...
I've been anxiously awaiting Mario Spinetti's album since the moment i heard him live last December! His passion overwhelms me; his voice and intention inspire me in ways i could never have imagined. Have faith; Buy this album; Listen from beginning to end...He'll change your life;) Oh and p.s. the track "Delirious?" was on "So You Think You Can Dance!" this summer, and every voice in the track is Mario's! The first time I heard it, I told my friend there was a choir in there!!! He's unbelievable! I Love. Love. Love. Love.
So you think you can dance, dance, dance...
I have been obsessed with the song "Delirious" since it aired on So You Think You Can Dance....dance...dance..dance. A truly genious composer, with lyrics and instrumentation beyond thoughtful. Spinetti has even gone as far to write blogs explaining in detail the harmony of the many levels in his songs. With a croon reminscient of Buckley and beautifully cacophanous surprises, [1/1] is something new, something honest and something we can look forward to more of.
Everything I had expected...and MORE
Not adhering to the mold of contemporary musical blandness that's blaring through radio stations, Mario Spinetti debuting EP is thoughtful and engaging without loosing momentum. His sound is full of the passions of youth, and yet there is weight in his lyrics comparable to some of the greatest storytellers. Having seen him live in concert, I have been excited about this EP release for a long time. Though I have heard many of these songs before, I am still nothing sort of impressed, as he also produced these tracks himself. I am confident that the world will see much more this soulful young man in the future, and they will love the music as I do.
