Amazing... Truly Suspensful Soundtrack
1408 is the first soundtrack in years to truly be chilling music... The music is incredible and haunting!
Perfection
Putting aside fantastic theme in "The Descent," this film has the best score to grace a scary movie since Goldsmith's music in "Poltergiest." It's also the best music for a Stephen King-based movie since Michael Kamen's score to "The Dead Zone."
Good Music for a Good Movie
The movie is good, I think Steven King has a brilliant outlook on hauntings. The music fits the movie very well. It is worth seeing!

Lebanon-born Gabriel Yared started his career as a pop composer and musical arranger for the likes of Michel Jonasz and Françoise Hardy. His first encounter with films occurred in 1973 with Samy Pavel's Miss O'Gynie et les Hommes Fleurs. Six years later, he was invited by Jean-Luc Godard to score Every Man for Himself. From there, Yared went on to compose up to seven scores a year. Unlike other prolific film composers, such productivity did not result in simple repetition; Yared sought his inspiration...
