iTunes Review

The third full-length by this guitar-toting Tennessee native is honest, energetic, and uplifting. Fiddle-laden opener, “Tell a Country Boy,” is a tribute to red-blooded Americans who love their Chevy trucks, religion, and women. Atkins continues displaying gratitude with a couple more odes: “Got It Good” salutes the man upstairs in a down-home way, while “The Best Things” is the boot-scooting cousin of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” with Atkins listing things that make life sweet — emphasizing, above all, that women are second to none. There are plenty of numbers to get your motor running on “It’s America and the album suggests Atkins is just hitting his stride. Standout “Friends With Tractors” shows success hasn’t changed him and is one of many examples of why it’s so easy to root for Atkins celebrating honest life and saluting simple pleasures that make everything worthwhile.

His voice.....

This cat just can't sing. He sounds like Tim McGraw with a belly ache. Even if he was singing the best song in the world, it would sound like garbage. By far the most annoying voice in country music.

honest and catchy!
