Album Review

Johnny Cash and June Carter met in the mid '50s and quickly became the first couple of country music, gaining icon status as much for their association with each other as for the occasional music they made together. This set features several duets between the two, mostly covers of well-known pop and country songs, and while everything is pleasant, nothing here is anything close to essential, although die-hard fans of the couple may want this for the sake of completeness.

A Big Classic

I have always liked Johnnys music but I started to listen to June about maybe four days after I saw Walk The Line(Five Stars for the movie *****) And then I saw their duets and they are great and I am happy to say I am Oh.... 13 and I love Johnny and June. This means you can be any age and like any kind of music you like because no one can judge you. Bless you June and Johnny <3 <3 <3 <3

GREAT C.D. FROM COUNTRY'S GREATEST COUPLE

Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash are my musical influneces and I love there music. My favorites would probrably have to be Jackson, Long Legged Guitar Pickin Man, and It Aint Me Babe. Even though they are no longer here I still think that they music is great.

He created his own subgenre, falling halfway between the blunt emotional honesty of folk, the rebelliousness of rock & roll, and the world-weariness of country. Cash's career coincided with the birth of rock &...
