City Slickers
New York City! Yes this country band is from the big city, but they have a retro southern rock sound with a alternative rock twist. This is a refreshing album of up beat country rock that fills that void between twang and bang. The singer is very talented and the band is competent. It brings back the sound of Skynard, The Outlaws and Allman Brothers - but with aNYC attitude...

I HATE...HATE Country music. I am an Alanis Morisette, Within Temptation, Evanescence type of person, which leds me to loving this band. It's like the later I listed, but with a country twang to it. The led singer is amazing as well as Brother Love. Buy it!
Crossing borders
Do not think you can put this band into a category! They are Country, they are Rock and Roll, they are Pop....and so much more. They are simply everything that is great about music. Her & Kings County blends it all so well it goes down smooth. 1609 rocks you right out of the gate and let's you know that there is substance to keep coming back for. Their love for music is infectious. Wish mainstream music was as intoxicating....with HER's help...one day it will be. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.
