Real World Denver: The Barbershop Edition '07
~As I walk into the arena and become an audience member, ready to watch the quartets with excitement, I can visualize the quartets having that inimitable and extraordinary presence on stage, singing their hearts out, with tears filling their eyes of most fantabulous songs I've ever heard in my entire life. ~Once I read the stellar insider from the Harmonizer magazine about this unique Barbershop "world" I fell in love with the out-of-this-world barbershop music, style, and technique. I am positive, not only I, but other people as well would be able to tell that the quartets on this particular CD produce a "unit sound" when the quartets sing a remarkable "tag" (*as this concept is illustrated in Barbershop "terms" located on the society website). ~The selections of the songs they sing are exquisite in which they can somehow make their voices cling or "lock" together. It seems like the range of vocal talent is astonishing and surprising that such outstanding quality singers have so much impact on the audience and that they could prove they have potential to not only to win and be stars of the stage, but to be the best. ~It'll be a tough draw, in my opinion, between OC Times and Max Q who have already been in the top 5 these past couple of years according to the results of the past contest (scores). One quartet that has always been popular for a couple of years now that has a great presence on stage with poise and flavor, versus another quartet who was put in second place last year and are already gold medalists. The question is:...can they bring it?
