20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Donny & Marie Osmond collects a dozen of the brother and sister duo's best-known and definitive performances, including "Leaving It All Up to You," "It Takes Two," "Deep Purple," and "Paper Roses." Though some of the songs the duo tackles venture into rock and disco influences, for the most part their work stayed in the '70s AM pop style that Donny's teenage solo career began with, and is epitomized by songs like "One of These Days" and their version of "Let It Be." Though their sound never quite hit the transcendent highs of the Carpenters' work, at its best Donny & Marie's output had a smooth, airy agreeable quality that has made it date surprisingly well. Not many Osmond retrospectives focus just on Donny & Marie's work, so 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Donny & Marie Osmond fills that gap competently.

Way Before My time... Great Music...( V ) It.
This is music you don't hear very often, and i love itunes for bringing The Osmonds to thier store. The music is sqeaky clean and beautiful.I loved the Donny and Marie Osmond show. I still love hearing about the Osmonds, The Oprah show was awesome. I admire them, look up to them and this music brings back memories of my mom and dad; Who named me and my brother after them. ( V ) Thanks itunes.
Good Music,Great Artists...BUT...
All the radio hits are here, but what's with the last 3 songs on the CD? They are not "Donny & Marie" songs, but selections from Marie's solo work. It amazes me that they could not find 3 more Donny & Marie tunes to put on this CD. Perhaps the record company felt Marie did not warrant her own millenium collection, so they jammed what they felt was the best of Marie's work onto this CD. Once again, the major labeI clowns get it wrong. I love all the songs on this CD...but I feel the record company could have done a better job in putting together this compilation. 5 stars for D & M and the music they present here. 3 stars for the half-hearted effort from the major label clowns who crunch too many numbers and ignore the fans.
Winning Combination
Donny and Marie go together like peanut butter and jelly. They just can't have a bad song even if they try!!!
