Album Review
Another year, another Squeeze compilation. With the oversaturation of Squeeze greatest-hits compilations currently available on the market, it can be quite trying to a casual listener to figure out which anthology best represents the group. This edition of the 20th Century Masters series is essentially a song-for-song re-creation of the outstanding 1982 Singles anthology release, and documents chronologically the band's greatest hits. For those looking to have just the best of the bunch without fan favorites, B-sides, or rarities, this is an excellent starting point to get familiar with one of the U.K.'s most versatile bands of the past three decades. And for those who purchased Singles during its original run but didn't purchase any other compilation, this re-mastered edition is an excellent upgrade.

by baghdadbabyI have to agree with genevieve..I just saw them in concert for the first time since the 80's, and their music still holds true. It is utterly fun and happy music that also happens to have very clever lyrics and musicality. I can't help but be in a great mood when I listen to them. Other songs I love not on this album are Picadilly and Hourglass.

They manage to stay so true to this album, though it still sounds fabulous, which not many bands can pull off.
