Album Review

Though it's not as complete as the now out-of-print 1982 collection The Best of Atlanta Rhythm Section, 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Atlanta Rhythm Section does a better-than-average job of presenting the group's biggest hits, including "So Into You," "Imaginary Lover," "Champagne Jam," and "Neon Nites." While it doesn't feature a drastically different or better track selection than some of the other best-ofs available, The Millennium Collection is still a solid buy for casual fans of Atlanta Rhythm Section's slick Southern rock.

I caught ARS at Boston Univ back in 1980 performing for about 50 people in my dorm. Sad in some ways, but they were fantastic. Monsters as musicians go. This is great music! well done! This is a good primer for the unindoctrinated!

Still Longtime Classic

One of the best remakes ever, origionally from the sixties. Great "Sneak up on you" guitar rips that really made this one a Classic Rock Hit. Superb! Wish I could rate it 6 stars.

70's Concert

I saw them at a college venue. At the time they were touring to promote the Champagne Jam album. They started well over an hour late and it appeared the singer was drunk as a skunk. Well worth the wait though. The bass played the most incredible solo I've ever heard.
