Album Review

Falling somewhere between a mixtape and street release, 3 da' Hard Way finds Atlanta ballers Trillville right in their sweet spot, where everything's a hard-hitting party and you don't have to worry about cleaning up or any expensive surroundings. Messy and cheap — but not too cheap — is where crunk flourishes, and Trillville do so here, drinkin' and rollin' at the same time on the irresponsible banger "Sametime" and selling drugs like it was the nation's pastime on the role model-less "Baseball." "Same S*%t" could be this limited group's anthem and you're safe in betting "Freak Yo Body" is the lone "for the ladies" number, but street releases allow their pummeling club music to pass the four-, sometimes five-minute mark, so returning fans will appreciate getting their crunk so unfiltered and raw.
