Album Review

On their million-selling debut single "No More (Baby I'm a Do Right)," female trio 3LW ("Three Little Women") leapt to the forefront with a fresh sound that deftly mixes hip-hop/R&B and pop. It's included on their self-titled debut album which has a sweet undercurrent of old-school craftsmanship. That is not to say that 3LW is retro; they're surrounded by melodically inventive uses of MIDI-based music. Standouts are "Is You Feelin' Me," "More Than Friends (That's Right)," "Crush on You," and the tender ballads "Curious," the inspiring "Ocean," and "I'm Gonna Make You Miss Me." The group's strong vocals and an overall adventurous vibe supplied by the album's producers and songwriters makes 3LW a pleasure.

Oh My God I used to listen to them when i was like 7!

I remember listening to these songs when i was like 7. I saw 3lw a little while ago on this web site and i was like who the heck is 3lw? But then when i was listening to it I was singing all the words.2 of the girls from 3lw are now with cheetah girls. i couldn't believe it! they look exactly the same!

This is a really good album. I like the girls they are a good mix, especially the ones who are with "The Cheetah Girls" these girls rock and keep on rockin. peace

All the girls in 3LW can sing really well, which unusually for most groups. But, besides that, the songs are more than just your typical pop songs. They were so young, but still made a great R&B album. My favorites are Is You Feelin' Me, No More, Playas Gon Play, I Can't Take It, and Crush On You
