Colour Me Free

Such sophistication and perfection. Her best by far! Illisits early memories of Aretha, Chakha, Janis and LaBelle while remaining completely Joss. Pure, joyful, a sweet ride, she's got her hand on her hip and head thrown back, ride Sally ride!

Amazing

Despite the EMI not allowing itunes to use Joss's artwork, the album is exactly what I expected amd more. The music is beautiful and the lyrics brilliant. Another awesome album Joss Stone, she just keeps getting better

Beautiful, As Usual! :)

I am so happy that this album is finally released. After the first delay, I was more than impatient for Joss Stone's "Colour Me Free" to be available. Her latest album "Introducing Joss Stone" had me simply in love with her, and now this album is finally here!

Personally, I think Joss Stone is an extremely talented R&B/Soul artist. Despite her looks as a young white woman, Joss Stone has a brilliant and soulful voice. It's so powerful and strong. She prooved that to us when she delivered "Introducing Joss Stone" in 2007.

But now, after two years of waiting, "Colour Me Free" is finally available. Joss Stone sure does now how inspire. Usually Joss Stone provides us with a few up-tempo and soulfull tracks. In this album, Joss Stone takes on more of the 'jazz' genre and calms things down a bit. Fortunately, this album still delivers. Even though she takes things down a knotch, this album just goes to show how brilliant Joss Stone can be.

One thing I love about this album is that Joss Stone features a few artists within her tracks. Usually Joss Stone goes solo within her albums, but "Colour Me Free" sets a new image toward her musical career. Tracks like "Stalemate" show how beautiful and artistic duets can really be. Fortunately, "Stalemate" isn't the only great track on here. There are plenty of other tracks that go to show how inspiring Joss Stone can be.

This album sure was worth the long wait. This will make a grand adition to my R&B/Soul collection.

:)

Biography

Born: April 11, 1987 in Dover, England

Genre: R&B/Soul

Years Active: '00s

British vocalist Joss Stone was only 16 years old when she appeared on the universal pop/rock radar in 2003, ready to challenge the pop domination of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera with a grownup sound that belied her young age. Positioning herself among the more established and credible artists (Norah Jones, Jill Scott, Nikka Costa), Stone soon garnered a devoted audience at home and abroad, first for her reinterpretations...
