Amazing.
Emilie Autumn is unique, to say the least. When I first listened to her, to be quite honest, I wasn't very fond of her voice... But the more I listened to her, the more I really started to appreciate the uniquness of her voice. Emilie's voice isn't like most others, but that's what makes her a good, and interesting change from the mainstream. This is a very good album. Give it a listen a few times--it grows on you. Swallow (Oyster Mix By Punto Omega), Organ Grinder, and Is It My Body are excellent songs to listen to.
Nothing short of AMAZING!
Highlights are 4 O'clock, My Fairweather Friend, and the Swallow remixes. Emilie Autumn kicks a$s. I love her to death and can't wait for more of her music. I can't get enough of her. Also check out Opheliac first. It will hook you immediately.
I Pay For Your Silence
If you look up unique in a dictionary Emilie Autumn’s music would be used as an example. 4 O’clock in my humble opinion is her best work yet. The dark synth beats mixed with the eerie lyrics creates the perfect atmosphere for this EP. "Sure as the clock keeps it's steady chime. Weak as I walk to its steady rhyme. Ticking away from the ones we love." My Fairweather Friend has deceivingly bright music to go along with the dark lyrics. "You won't be anywhere around me when I fall." Organ Grinder is an excellent composition by Autumn. Leads up nicely to the experts from The Asylum" which are beyond wonderful and creepy. My favorite line of these to tracks would have to be "Once you hear the screaming it never stops." Excellent background music which really sets the mood. I suggest if you're new to Emilie Autumn that you purchase this EP first.
