Album Review

When power pop meets emo, the Impossibles occur. Fueled by high-energy rock and heartfelt lyrical content, this four-song EP leaves the listener wanting more, more, more! Not only do the Impossibles know how to confront their audience with honest subject matter, but they can also have fun, catchy choruses (such as on the song "Get It + Got It + Good") that will no doubt cause singalongs and dancing all the way to their next release. The layout is also of note, as it has to be seen to totally appreciated. And if all that weren't enough, the illustrious Brian McTernan produced this at his wonderful Salad Days Studio in Washington, D.C., so the sound is near perfect. Featuring former members of Mineral and Imbroco, as well as current ones from Pop Unknown, this will surely appeal the fans of all the aforementioned bands and then some.

Customer Reviews

Good Lord! Buy this album.

I bought this album from the band in concert in 2001, and they signed it for me. I didn't know it would be my last chance to see the guys live, but I knew when I got the album home they had captured themselves perfectly on this press. Headbangingly hard, but still heart felt and melodic, this album will make you a fan of a great band that should still be rocking today. Who needs dork rock, when this will turn all you dorks into true rock monsters?

Picked this up in Austin a few months ago

This is one of the most listened-to albums I own, both on my computer and in my car. This album represents the absolute height of creativity of The Impossibles and really showcases their genius. This was the final EP they released; what more could have come of The Impossibles had they kept going?
